Alot of funny shite has come out of the LSU football program over the years but none funnier than the bullshite about how Joe Brady called the plays and Steve Ensminger had approval over them. As if that old fricker was gonna say no to anything Brady called.
That was some Whiteboots bullshite designed to help his bestest good friend save face.
Take Joe Brady out of that booth and tell me where LSU ends up at at the end of 19.

LSU doesn't do jackshit in 19 without Joe Brady. Nothing.
LSU takes their typical 9-3 season. Wins their annual trip to the Kotex Bowl and then when the season's over, babbles about who was better. Mettenberger, Burrow or that other guy.
Without Joe Brady. 2019 LSU is nothing more than their natural state of being.

What they actually have said is that Ensminger called first and second downs and Brady called third downs and red zone plays.
I know multiple people who worked within the program during that time period and the consensus is that Brady acted basically as Ensminger's assistant, everyone was shocked that Brady was offered an NFL OC position because they all felt he wasn't ready.
This narrative that Brady was running and calling the offense (with zero experience, it was his first year ever being involved with offensive coaching) and single handedly coached up every single player on that offense is quite weird.

It's ok that 2019 is typical LSU without Joe Brady. The guy did what he was hired to do. Take control of your offense.

And I definitely hope Alabama hires him and turns the entire offense over to him.
