The only shocking part about all of this is the fact he was fired without an obvious replacement and the sheer amount of other schools also looking for a coach.

Nothing is settled yet as far as I know. They are still working through it. There are many moving parts. If Kelly gets another job then the contract is reduced a lot. Or he can settle on a figure now and not gamble on getting another job.

What’s so hard to understand. The school, boosters, and fans already had their minds made up about Kelly. With so many openings at big schools do you think there was any reason to delay firing Kelly if they already knew who they wanted as his replacement? Why let that guy go to one of these other schools if you already have the guy you want . It’s Kiffin. If it’s not then I would be shocked at this point.
