So, in a few years when another system takes the place of the BCS, all titles under the BCS will be considered speculative.
So all D1 national championships had a way of being determined at that time and Bama's national championships were awarded by the system being used at that time.
So Bama can claim 13 or 8 or even 18 as recorded by the NCAA as awarded by different pollsters or organizations.
