Seriously? "Man, you can win titles at Clemson, but can you at Alabama?" Yes, because it's tough winning at Alabama.

Regardless of Bama's history, it will still be an angled used when Saban retires. Because they will put the SEC spin on it. Dabo has a very good record in one off games vs the SEC (which is why he will be in consideration). But it's not the same as doing it IN the SEC week after week. I mean just look at all the Clemson posters on here. They'd LOVE to be in the SEC. You just know that's in back of Dabo's mind too. You don't think Alabama will leverage the conference angle when it comes time to lure Dabo away from Clemson? Of course they will.

Can you win Championships in the hardest conference?

A type A person like Dabo can't resist that sort of challenge. (Let's get real, it was that sort of challenge that got Spurrier to leave UF and Saban to go to Miami from LSU)

There's also the ego stroke of being named the coach of (historically) the best football program in the country. Can Dabo keep the tradition going?

The question for me becomes, does Dabo's style and the ensuing culture he's built in Clemson play well with Alabama's style and culture.

Are you serious? Dabo is an ideal fit at Bama.

Plus when Mama calls and says it's time to come back home, you listen to Mama and come back home.

I personally do not understand why Dabo would consider such a move when he can stay in a program he built and be revered should he continue winning.

Nah, baw. It's about the Lakes. No team in the country, not even Minnesota, can compete with Clemson's Lake.

This is what I'm saying. He's been at Clemson since 2003. They could have fired him in 2010, based off of inexperience alone. But they didn't.

If he goes 6-7 at Bama after Saban, he's fired.

If they want a chance at poaching Dabo after Saban retires.

Dabo to Alabama is pretty much a lock...

Personally, right now, I don't want him. Now, ten years from now, when Saban retires, if Dabo is still playing for and winning NC's, I may have changed my mind. But, he has some growing to do, and I'd rather he learn how not to lose to Syracuse at teams not named Bama.

That was exactly my point. I don't know if the styles mesh or not, and it's likely THE most important factor when choosing a new coach. Especially when replacing a HOF coach like Saban.

News flash, Saban may not be coaching 5 years from now, much less 10....

No you get real. I’d rather beat y’all in bowl games. That is how it is being presented to all Non-SEC people. Better to beat the “best” (roll our eyes) conference in bowl games and championship games than to do it within the conference. That is the ultimate challenge. So you deal with reality for once.
