You never answered my question Who has won more in the Iron Bowl?
Well I never even saw that question. The overall record of the Iron Bowl is 38-33-1 in Alabama's favor. Looking at that record its a wonder why all you Alabama fans think you are dominant over Auburn. A five game advantage isn't that great... at all.

You were in the sugar bowl in '04 congrats on that. Did you win the NC the year you were there?
What does winning the national title have to do with being in the Sugar Bowl? And as for the question, I think you know the whole story behind the 2004 Auburn team, so I won't even answer that question.

Yep. A 52.77% winning percentage with all the years you guys had a decided home field advantage at LF for (about 20 years).
Basically nothing to brag about. Without LF we probably sweep the 80's, the 9 game winning streak is likely less and probably we lead overall.
So basically you guys are delusional which we have already established.

Auburn had the same problem then as they do now. It is not our fault that your fanbase can't fill a stadium. You can blame the advantage on the vendors, the hotdogs, the turf, the peanuts or coke but it will not change the fact that we were the better team.

I grew up watching Alabama win and win again.
How many times have you seen Bama beat AU and how many times have you seen AU beat Bama. And try not to count games when you were 3 years old either. Maybe like since you started to elementary school and started to understand football and who you were actually pulling for.
Then go ask your daddy about the bear to make yourself feel better.
I now rest my case. We are better than you in your lifetime and mine. Have a nice day gump.

Our average attendace for this years home games was 85,689. Our stadium holds 87,451. Sounds pretty good to me.

Something that never seems to be recalled when discussing the Legion Field years of the Iron Bowl, is that the tickets were split 50/50. It wasn't until Auburn wanted to move their home game years to their home stadium (rightly so) that the tickets were divided in a manner favoring the "home" team. They played a few more years in Legion Field, swapping the larger ticket allotment, until Auburn hosted it at Jordan Hare in 1989. Alabama finally did the same when their contract to play 3 games a year in Birmingham ended.
I like that the games are being played on campus now, but I sure miss the atmosphere and sight of the stadium spit in half with the two teams colors.

Offers from Miami and FSU. Not bad.
Certainly better than the kids Auburn is stealing from Alcorn State.

Well if it ever did go back to a neutral field, it would never be Legion Field. That place is a total dump now.

Hold on now, Daniel Moore hasn't done a Saban portrait....yet.
Of course, after Alabama sued him for copyright infringement... ....there's no telling what his next print could look like.
((hey, sounds like a photoshop contest to me!))

Heck, it was a total dump THEN. The place is older than Moses. They tore off the upper deck a few years ago because it was falling apart.
I don't think it would ever get back to a neutral field (there aren't any neutral fields bigger than their home stadiums) but it was interesting back in the day.

It was fun to have a neutral field, but I'm willing to bet Legion field won't be standing ten years from now.
On a side note, this thread has been hijacked from talking about recruits.

They should have been given a shot at the NC that year. I am as big of a BAMA fan as anybody you will ever meet but you have to give credit where credit is due. I am of the opinion that Auburn had the best team in the country that year and got screwed by not being allowed to play for the NC.
Just my opinion.
