Yeah, I can't figure out why anyone wants to talk about recruits in July for anyway. Thats a post season conversation.

Alot of things will happen between now and then, guys that everyone are hoping for might not be on the radar, and others you haven't heard much about will be the "big catches".

I think they are going to give it a makeover for the olympics. You did hear that our mayor said he wants to bring the Olympics to Birmingham in 2020 or something like that. What an idiot.

You have to have 40,000 hotel rooms 3 star or better to qualify to get on the list for the olympics and I think we have 12,000. We have a pack of idiots running this city.

Not to mention an actual international airport and a functional public transportation system. They should concentrate on paying for their sewer system before thinking about the Olympics.

Langford is an arse clown who will spend every nickel that city makes...twice.

This thread is funny as hell. Gumps crowing about recruiting championships and actual championships that occurred before most on this board were even born. I'm not a fan of Auburn or Bama but this thread truly proves who is the more delusional of the two fanbases. This is the 21st Century and Auburn has dominated Bama with less (star rated) talent for years now. Maybe Bama needs to start winning more than the Independence Bowl and actually beat Auburn a few times before it's fans start crowing. BTW, Army was once the cream of the crop in college football too. Times change.

Oh this guy is a fricking idiot. He also wants to build a new city hall and make it a scaled down version of the pentagon, (44Million)

He delivered his "top secret" plan for the city the other day in a cheesecloth and had armed guards escort him into city hall.

Meanwhile, we are about to have to declare bankruptcy becasue of a 4 Billion dollar sewer system we built. New York could hook up to our sewer system and have room to spare. These guys are criminals.

Not true. Auburn finished with the higher ranked class in 2007, 2006, 2005, 2003, and 2002. This is why Alabama fans are pointing towards recruiting. It has a direct link to on the field results. This is also why Alabama fans are now predicting the downfall of Auburn...

Oof, you may have just opened yourself up for some ridicule. Are you solid on those recruiting rankings?

That is awesome!! That literally had me laughing out loud at both the facts and the presentation.

Funny stuff.

Nah, I am getting kinda tired of posting the same thing on recruiting rankings and don't want to look them up again. Besides, I'm going to bed...

By the way, it may be right if you leave out the most recent 2008 class which results in the average ranking for Bama being higher over the last 4 and 5 years. That was what I was using in the arguement in the thread a few days ago when I was told I posted the dumbest post of the year by somebody when I said, "According to rivals recruiting rankings, Bama will have just as much talent THIS YEAR". Which would include the last 4-5 years rankings.

One thing I will add though is saying AU has outrecruited Bama in some of those years listed is really silly. One year AU was 10 and Bama 11. Overall, including 2008, Bama has a higher average class ranking than AU over the last 4 & 5 years. I am not sure about the higher star rating, but in theory if you take a 5 year time period you should be accounting for everyone including those that redshirted 5 years prior.

So, go back 5 years and Bama has a higher average recruiting ranking according to rivals than AU and LSU - IF you include 2008.

Yea if you were doing an average it wouldn't be fair to include the 2008 class because they haven't even played a down yet. It would also skew the numbers. But overall, AU has had the better class the past few years, and that has influenced the rivalry greatly.
