The one thing I love about this is, and wont ever admit he does this, Saban uses this to his maximum advantage. He'll never speak of it but he will remind the players every day of what was said.

Every year somebody gives some bulletin board material. Every year. you'd think folks would learn. He wont aim this at Brokaw, he'll aim it at Ole Miss.

Yes. They most certainly do. ETA - for ITAT Puppet, who's likely never even seen AU's campus "In addition to an evaluation of core classes, Auburn will consider high school grade point average (GPA), highest composite ACT or SAT scores, and answers to essay questions."

Graduated from AU and have a son attending. You pulled it off their website as a consideration. The truth is that they look at the hard score, and scholarships and entrance are determined by those scores. My son had a composite of 30, but had a best score of 27. He did not receive the higher scholarship because of that. Thanks for being a "Google Expert".

Brokaw is an idiot. How do you attempt taking a shot at Bama and not include anything about fricking your own family members?

Wait.

U of Bama responded to that shite?

That is pretty sad for UA.

Embarrassing, even.

Bama recruits heavily from OOS on the academic side.

Of that 36% with ACT scores of 30 or higher, 99% are not from Alabama.

I wouldn't say 99%, but definitely a majority.

I know they offer better scholarship opportunities to OOS kids than those kids' own in state schools.

Yep - it's their marketing approach. There are still quite a few 30+ ACT type kids in Alabama though that go to school there. Probably 75-80% OOS at this point. Was probably more like 25-30% when I was there in the mid 2000s.
