Bama fans question about the post Saban era

I keep hearing that Dani is the heir apparent for Saban? Do y’all want that? Do y’all believe that?
Seems more to be that Saban would have his hand in that also and rightfully so. I don’t think Dabo fits the Saban mold.
I personally wouldn’t want poor old Dabo any where near my program. He makes it too much about himself and whines too much.

Saban is coaching 5 more years.. we'll worry about it then. But I don't think Dabo is next up.

I am sure that there will be a national search. Right now, with about 5-7 years to go before that happens, we have no clue who the great coaches will be at that time.

Pretty sure Saban will have a short list of suggestions for who should replace him.
Would probably be wise to take them seriously.

I dont think anyone, including the Greg Byrne, knows right now. Not saying he doesnt have a list, but there is no way in hell he is focused on one candidate

Yeah, I hope so. He recommended that Houston Nutt get the job when he left LSU after 2004. Definitely hire his recommendation. I concur.

No one knows who it’s gonna be. More than likely it will be someone internal at first.

Bryne has a list, but keep in mind he's known for taking unknowns. He's not a chaser of big names.

I wanted Dabo 2-3 yrs ago. But not anymore. I think he's a good coach but mostly a product of elite qbs , Venables and a weak ACC competition. Plus I'm not a fan of his gooftroop antics. It's 4-5 yrs down the road so who knows. if Saban retires tommorow I'd want Kiffin, but odds are he'll be at another big program by then. Second choice would be Cristobal who won't leave Oregon . Who knows. Byrne has a good record of hires though.
