Moreno is much better in the open field and it's not like he can't run with power either. He's better and more versatile, Scott is a bruiser. I like Scott fwiw, just not as much as Moreno.

scott is better up the middle and it's not like he cant run in the open field.

dude they're about equal. get over it. your analogy sucked.

going by what you've seen from alabama this year, at this stage in the season do you feel like you guys are more prepared to handle moreno or scott?

LSU has the best Oline in the SEC this year. Did you see the holes against AU? And AU has a very good Dline. I don't know how good/bad UGA's Oline is but word on the street is that they're young.

We'll have more problems with Scott. But if LSU had Moreno, I'd say we'd have more problems with him. And Moreno is a good receiver too.

What can't he do? He's a do it all back. Power, speed, he can catch it, he's the best back in CFB outside of Beanie and might be better.
Certainly Marino has to be considered the better of the two, if for no other reason, he's proved it over a season. Scott has not, yet. Seriously, I don't think Scott is the best back in the world. But, he's a lot better than I thought we would have at the start of the season. And, if he continues to perform at this level, then it will certainly be noticed. In the meantime, I'm just happy he's playing for LSU.

Scott is better up the middle. Scott does not have breakaway speed. Scott is not that elusive in the open field.

Moreno is better than Scott. Scott is still very good, but Moreno is 1st team AA good. And I never made an analogy.

im not getting into semantics with you. comparison, analogy whatever you want to call it.

this thread was started about someone asking bama fans to explain why that one bama fan thought lsu was undisciplined and you replied by asking to explain why some on the rant thought scott was better than moreno. as close as they are it was a crappy comparison.

you wouldve been much better off if you wouldve brought up when the rant said hester>mcfadden.

1st team AA that couldn't even show up for USC? The one that only has 61 more yards on 25 more carries than our "bruiser" and a whole other game under his belt? Let's just see how the season plays out. I'll take our guy any day of the week.

Alabama could have a back in this argument but we have so many great RB's that we have to spread it around.

Well, both, but the Help Board first.

79 yards in 20 attempts vs South Carolina.
And, this is to go with prolly the best QB in the SEC in Stafford.
Auburn's D >>>>> SC and one game or not... IMO, 130+ against Auburn is special. No knock on Moreno, but I like Scott.

bad habits and poor discipline are starting to show.

I am talking about the Lsu/Auburn game, Im talking about 47&49 (Pittman and elel(?)) three or four times not being (disciplined) enough to not go chasing the running back up the back side and letting tod take off on that read option. Im talking about on a 3rd and 4, auburn guy gets hit for about a loss of 3 or so but b/c the lsu guy(db i think) (no discipline) slings down the Au kid outta bounds, blatantly drawing a personal foul, keeping the drive alive(I think you guys had 3 hits like that Sat.)

Could you guys explain for your fellow fans? I don't undertsand this.

Translation:

Because LSU allowed a couple of running plays by the Auburn quarterback to go for positive yardage, part of the SEVENTY frickING YARDS rushing we gave up in the game, and because we got a personal foul penalty for not letting go of the running back soon enough when dragging him out of bounds, the inevitable Alabama delusion is supported...

Les Miles can't coach.

Of course, the fact that he beat their coach, did better with their coach's supposed players than their coach did, and just accomplished for the third time in four years what no coach of theirs has accomplished in seven years, is no reflection on whether THEIR coach can coach.

There's a thread on the Tiger Rant where every LSU poster thinks Charles Scott is better than Knowshon Moreno. Can you explain that?

Scott, more YPC. Why isn't Scott as good as Knowshon?

Miles doesn't have discipline...theres a reason you were the most penalized team in the SEC last year and will probably repeat this year as well. I've heard from numerous sources that Miles has no control over the team and that the players don't really care what he says...
