I'm curious, but does it seem clean? That part of town isn't really something I think of when I think of legit dining. A lot of half-assed, rigged up businesses..

Is it Ethiopian? African culture confuses me because it seems like there would be more distinction between areas of the continent. Like "european food" could mean French, Spanish, Italian, etc.. or God forbid it could mean English.
Considering that Africans never had a written language, and never invented the wheel, I never considered a difference in African "food". Basically, I assumed it was the same as we, white people, did hundreds of years ago, Bassically, there was a food "pot", and it was added to each day, as they were able.

If you know, please tell me about the African cuisines.

Thanks in advance.

Edited: No argument with you. I think we're in agreement here.

Look, I understand anyone's desire for privacy. But, Goddamnit, where do you live? And, how old are you? That tells me something about who is speaking.

Is there a reason for withholding this basic information? If so, educate me. Seriously.

When you were growing up, did your family have dinner as a group at a table? Or was it at different times, and people eating on the sofa?

If you're a parent or live with your family, do you make a point to have family dinner and discussions?
Afreaux, I'm old. My family had dinner (supper) at a table, as a group.

As a parent, I did not. And, I regret that.

Edited: I was a single parent. And, it was a failure on my part.

Damn! Apparently not too many people knew it was the best place to eat.

Let me add: One of the really interesting things about this board is the diversity of opinion. It is seriously interesting to see different opinions of the same restaurants, and, often, the same dishes.

For this, I thank all of you.

Amite has been consistently deep into the playoffs. So has Independence and Kentwood. Salmen has a couple of titles. And, Franklinton was state runner up this past year. I understand that your impression is formed by Ponchatoula and Hammond. But, if we're talking talent, you should consider being more inclusive.

Not true. Trinton is faster. Trinton ran 10 flat in the 100 meters. Cannon ran 9.4 for 100 yards.

At that time, the world record for the 100 yard dash was 9.3. Cannon won the SEC 100 yard dash, AND the shotput. He was truly an exceptional athlete.

Well said! I think I did my taxes myself, because that's what everyone did in the late '60's. I had an accountant for my company. And, shortly after that, I began taking accounting courses at SLU. I ended up with 40 hours in accounting, plus many more hours in business, because I was in business. I have done my own since.

But, this is a passive responsive. Do what's best for you. And, I do not know what that is. Good luck!

I have no idea, because you didn't list the year of your birth. Why is that?

I enjoyed Capital Grill. I took my daughter there last year on her high school graduation. Could not have had a better time.
Same way we would have: gratefully. Good luck Trovon.

Good Grief!! Give him a BREAK. If he's any kind of a decent coach, he's for the best interests of his player. Period. And, he HAS to give the kid space to make HIS decision. And, that's what it is, HIS decision. Best of luck to Trovon Reed.

I just updated Dandy Don, and he's taken Copeland off. He had the time of 8:05. I never looked at Rivals, so Don was my only confirming source.

ETA - Don still lists him as a commitment, just took the purple check and time off...
I just saw that too. So, we don't know.

Since his LOI was received at 8:05, why isn't he listed on the LSU list? Does LSU have a problem with accepting the LOI? His signing WAS a surprise.
I think they're eastern time zone. So, they should be first.
