UGA is the queen of excuses:
-Witbout that slow start we beat Bama (2008).
-Literally, we were the better team and lost on a stupid play. 5 more seconds and we win (2012 SECCG).
-We didn't prepare for Tua.
-We didn't prepare for Hurts.
-Lol 2020 was a covid year and doesn't count.
-Texas only beat us because of inuries and opt outs.
Imagine if they blew Bama out, lost two of their three best players and barely lost the rematch. Georgia fans would have made sure that win was stripped from the history books.
That's a lot of words just to say that Key injuries don't matter, but welcome to the show!

My favorite part is when corndogs try to pretend that Tua was somehow 100% healthy.

The difference between Bama and other teams is Bama doesn't make excuses for losing.

The problem with using the Daniels injury as a complete excuse for losing is that LSU was already down two TD’s when he got injured. LSU may have scored again had Daniels not been injured, but it’s unlikely they would’ve made up the two TD deficit since they could not stop Alabama.
Before someone mentions it, yes LSU held Alabama to a field goal attempt following the Daniels injury, but Alabama had gone into clock kill mode on that drive. They probably wouldn’t have done that if LSU had scored again.

No one is 100% in November but Saban said he thought Tua was 90% or so.
Muh he was on one leg.

I remember UGA saying how many guys they had out due to injury in the SEC title game as their reason for being completely blown out.
Well. You tell us. Do injuries count or not?
I mean, we had injuries...significant injuries, and missing players in both games. So, wither it matters or it doesn't. I am willing to say Alabama beat us fair and square and no excuses in the SECCG if you can admit that Georgia beat us fair and square with no excuses in the National Championship game. But you won't, so here we are.
Oh, and Colt McCoy is curious about your answer, too.

Except LSU didn't blow us out a month prior with two of their best players (for the second time in a year)
But we still had a ton of injuries. So. Do injuries matter, or not? Y'all were healthy when you beat us, we were not.

(starting a green WR who had only been targeted three times that season in one of their places)
Wow. Sounds like poor coaching. Your third receiver only had been targeting 3 times? Seems like a good coach would have gotten his players more experience.
quote:And then promptly got blown out by two TDs. Don't games last 60 minutes? I was always told they did. In fact, Alabama fans told us that when they came from behind on two other occasions to beat Georgia. Now the 4th quarter doesn't count?
yet still hold a slight lead in the 4th without them

But sure, nice false equivalency melt.
Back at you.
quote:Nah. We would have won anyway. Prove me wrong.
Your first win over Bama since the Bush era was courtesy of key injuries.
