I think it is generational as far as respecting other teams. LSU fans that are older seem to show a little love for BAma. Just my observation, could be wrong. And I feel the same way about LSU (kind of an underlying respect). The younger fans seem to hate Saban so much and the young Boog fans are completely delusional. At least the older Boog fans know what's coming for a while. I hope LSU the best, except when playing the Tide.

Yeah, okay. I remember a lot of LSU fans calling for the NCAA to drop the hammer and give us the death penalty of the Textbook Investigation.

That nearly broke my heart. The flagship program of our great conference being harassed at every turn. You are confusing us with Auburn fans.

I don't think this is a majority of their fans but there is a large enough segment to piss me off when I hear it. I will say that the reaction DURING this year's LSU-Bama game was a shocker though. The folks I watched the game with turned into real assholes once Bama took the lead...taunted the LSU fans at the party rather than cheer for their team. (And NO, the LSU fans had NOT been taunting at all...just cheering for the Tigers.) I am hopeful that this was an exception and not a return to the arrogance that was the '70s.

Well... I was flying on a plane and sat next to a guy from Oklahoma. We started talking about football and when I said I was an Alabama fan he said...
"You all have really nice fans. LSU fans are the worst, but in my experience, Alabama fans that I meet are always nice."

I don't think there were A LOT of them doing this (though I despised hearing that) but the ones that were doing it were doing so loudly and obnoxiously.

I'm not saying it was every LSU fan because I'm sure that there are a lot of LSU fans that do respect Alabama. All I'm trying to say is just don't try to make it seem like ALL Bama fans are cocky and arrogant, and ALL Lsu fans are sympathetic and respectful.

Just ignore anyone, including a Bama fan that says the opposite, as that person is obviously a rantarded idiot.

I have always thought Gumps were delusionally optimistic and self-aggrandizing while LSU fans are delusionally pessimistic and self-hating.

This. Bama fans hold themselves in WAYYY too high of regard. To the point it is simply absurd and comical. LSU fans become unreasonably pessimistic.

For example, many LSU fans are very upset and seem to think their program has had an aweful year and is sinking fast. Objectively, recruiting is strong and LSU is going to the Capital One bowl with a chance to finish 9-3 with two of those losses to the top two teams in the country.

Bama fans on the other hand have an inferiority complex that comes from losing to AU most of their life and very rarely being in competition for a title (once during bowl season in almost 30 years). Therefore, they over compensate by talking smack and claiming 12 NCs (which the rest of the world laughs at).

I said that LSU fans are delusion also, and you said:
quote:

That is sad if you actually believe what you wrote. When you put up a different guy for heisman every week and it ends up a HUGE bust....delusional
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1st let me say again that Bama has many fans with delusions of grandeur, and we always have - we think we are more powerful than we are. But guess what? So do LSU fans. The fact, as exemplified by your quote, that you don't realize this actually confirms your delusion!!!

I say again that LSU fans are just as delusional as Alabama fans, there are many reasons for this, but it is absolutely true.

As for the guy that is actually claiming that LSU fans display more sportsmanship and class than Bama fans, I don't even no where to begin. That is laughable.

Every Fan base has Idiots.
Most SEC fans are great people I find. I know Aubies Gators FSU and LSU Fans. My best friend is an Ole Miss Grad. They all Love their teams like we do.

My Sister Is'nt a Football Fan and somehow she watched a Notre Dame-Bama game in Miami with friends years ago. And guess her friends were ND Fans and she told me how rude The Bama fans were to all of them etc. Same thing with ND fans when we played them years ago they got ugly with us cause they beat us.

The BEST fans I ever met were Penn State Fans. We kicked. Their Butts for the NC and they were gracious about it.

I've bout Meals for other fans at games and otherwise.

uh what? Dang, I feel like someone that is being complimented by someone and in the meantime a bunch of guys are really whispering and giggling behind my back.

I don't think Bama fans are any more delusional or arrogant than any other fan base. Sure we have our bad fans just as all the other teams have theirs. You can't judge an entire fan base by a few nuts.

And, Bama has been through some rough years. We feel like we are finally climbing out of the hole we were buried in. And I know it upsets a lot of LSU fans to talk about it, but all Bama needed was a good coach and we believe we have finally gotten him in Coach Saban.
