Fear? = None - I don't have to block a huge lineman nor tackle a 230-250 lb. running back.
Worry?- None - My life will not change one iota on Sunday morning as a result of this game.
Yes, I hope my school's team wins. I appreciate the work that both sets of young men have gone through to entertain us with their skills and athleticism.I thoroughly enjoy watching well-coached and closely matched teams play the game. I will cheer hard for Bama, and continue to cheer for them in the next game, regardless of the outcome of this one. I will also continue to respect the LSU team, regardless of the outcome. In short, the pleasure of football is in the playing of the game - and knowing that it is a game.

Agree.
I was actually more worried that one would lose a trap game before getting to this one. Now that they are to this point, its like making it to the World Series--still want to win but the pressure is off (for me, probably not for them).

Yeah, both have done a good job of getting to this point. I just don't think we do the guys of either team justice if we feel their season is a failure because they lose this game - since one of them will have to lose. They have both had great seasons, and promise to improve it unless they let a loss in this one get them down, as happened to Bama after the 2008 SECCG.

I'm surprised in this day we don't give both teams trophies for extra effort in trying really hard. They should all get gold stars for achievement, including the ones who were oversigned.
Many on this board would stigmatize the team that happens to get the smaller amount of points when the clock shows 00:00, but maybe that's an old fashioned concept.

About a 3. I think Alabama wins in an emphatic fashion. Doesn't mean LSU isn't a great team, but I have very little doubt that Alabama will come out on top.

Like Gene Stallings said in '92 when #1 Miami was playing #2 Bama, "Ah lock ur chances."
Time for a throw down.

Seriously. It is a game. Going to be an awesome game, but still a game. Looking forward to seeing some great college football.

Interestingly, I have no fear or anxiety at all about this game. After watching LSU dismantle UF, UT, and Auburn, I have extreme confidence in this LSU team. But I realize Bama is equally good. It could go either way, but I am confident LSU will pull it out. If not, I'll be expecting the Tigers to humiliate their opposition in the Sugar Bowl, and for the Tide to go on to win the NCG for Bama and for the SEC. Though I expect to see Coach Miles lift the crystal trophy over his head; if he doesn't, I hope it's either Saban, Petrino, or Spurrier (extremely unlikely) to do so.

After Saban then Miles @ LSU versus Shula then Saban @ UA, shouldn't LSU be light years ahead of Alabama?
...so whats your point?
Why is this game considered so close? Is Miles losing his grip or Saban that much better that he can catch-up that quickly?

Not scared at all. I am confident that Bama will be ready to play and bring the pain to Lsu. Plus the refs love Bama.

In ua's last 26 home games, the Tide has 59 rushing touchdowns. The opposition has 2.

That's funny because I was just sitting here laughing at my fellow bama fans for posting the numbers they are posting. I put my WORRY factor (fear is just stupid) at around 2. I am confident in this team and do not feel that there is another team in the country that is better. The only reason I'm at a 2 instead of a 1, or 0 for that matter, is because this is college football and occasionally, shite happens. If Alabama comes out and plays like they can play then this game will be decided in the 3rd or early 4th quarter.
So what differences do you see in this years team than Bama '10, the team on whom LSU ran for more than 200 yds and kept your offense in check. Do you feel you are better without Julio Jones and Mark Ingram?

It's beyond that. Fear is when #12 plays #1.
This is #1 vs #1
This is #1 vs #1

I'm sure he means "worry". No need to be afraid.
LSU is sending the football team, not a Mongol Horde.

On a scale of 1-10 my fear level is about a 4. Home field, equal talent and imo better coaching. Bama should win by 10 points but LSU is capable of winning the game.
