Well, eat this Chippy-
The academic argument is such crap-
If the Big 12 schools are so concerned about academics, when in the hell are they in the BigWhatever? Compare the current Big 12 to the SEC-
BIG 12
Texas - 47th
Texas A&M - 61st
Colorado - 77th
Baylor - 80th
Iowa - 88th
Kansas - 96th
Nebraska - 96th
Missouri - 102nd
Oklahoma - 102nd
Kansas State - 3rd tier
Oklahoma State - 3rd tier
Texas Tech - 3rd tier
SEC
Vanderbilt - 17th
Florida - 47th
Georgia - 58th
Auburn - 88th
Alabama - 96th
Tennessee - 106th
South Carolina - 110th
LSU - 128th
Arkansas - 128th
Kentucky -128th
Mississippi State - 3rd tier
Mississippi - 3rd tier
Compare-

Big 12 - 47th
SEC - 17th

Big 12 - 7
SEC - 6

The academics in the Big 12, compared to the SEC are a push with a slight advantage to the SEC. And Alabama ranks even with or better than 7 schools in the current Big 12.

Their average is going to drop even more in 2011 when Colorado and Nebraska have left the conference.

isn't this the same chip brown who said mark ingram would be marginally productive and trent richardson would be shut down completely? also said bama would only score 16 points.
"On Jan. 7, I don't see Ingram doing any better than he did against Auburn (16 carries for 30 yards). I don't see Trent Richardson doing much more than that, either. The Legion of Boom is going to dominate this matchup. Alabama will score only 16 points in this game, and Ingram will be a non-factor." Chip Brown

Once Colorado and Nebraska are gone, 1/3 of their conference will be 3rd teir.

Texas, Baylor, and Texas A&M are the only Big XII schools that ranked ahead of Alabama in the USNWR Rankings.

There have been a couple of our recruits the past few seasons that had to go the JUCO route since they were not able to qualify, it was said numerous times that these players could have qualified and enrolled at the big 12 schools we beat them out for (0U, Okie light, etc).
I do not care enough to fact check, but if the above is true isn't that a contradiction to the Texas10 claims that they are an academically superior conference?

Texas would be third in the SEC in academics. They're not as superior as they think they are.

Texas fans put our arrogance to shame. Chip Brown is a tool FWIW
