Kirkpatrick was a passenger in a truck driven by another former Alabama player, Christopher Airreun Rogers, 25, of Baltimore, who police stopped for driving on the wrong side of the road, according to the report. A dog detected the presence of drugs and an officer found marijuana on the floorboard of the passenger side at Kirkpatrick's feet.
Rogers told police he purchased the marijuana at a house and was charged with a drug offense.
Kirkpatrick told officers he was in the car when the drugs were purchased by another person, but he didn't realize at the time what was being bought, the report said.

I like this newer link. It shows that TWO Alabama players were guilty and one was dumb and tried to play dumb by saying he didn't know what was bought.....I'm sure he thought it was potpourri

So now you admit they tell players when they are going to be tested? That's even worse.
Everyone tells players when they are going to be tested you fricking idiot. There might be a random if coaches suspect something, but most drug tests the players take are scheduled, and even the "random" tests are normally given to players that are guaranteed to pass.
Mathieu was such a fricking idiot he failed the scheduled test and got on the random test schedule.

Nick didn't do a lot of testing at LSU. In fact, he had his share of problems both with players and his kid when he was here and he didn't do shite about it. Skylar Green can tell you some stories.

We talking about marijuana? You hypocritical bastards. I bet 90-95% of the people hating on dre have smoked weed, and if you haven't, wtf are you waiting on. That shite grows from the earth, what if the government outlawed tomatoes tomorrow? Would you all be thugs for liking tomatoes on your sub?
Give me a fricking break. alcohol was illegal once too.
FWIW I think HB7 should be suited up in P&G this year, but this topic is better suited for the OT

Righteous indignation, brother.

I'm not a pothead either, but you are absolutely right. Alcohol has a much more devastating impact on the body, babies, brain, etc. than pot. It is physiological as well as psychologically addictive, and it's known to cause major birth defects.
I am not getting into whether or not Dre was a pothead or not. I don't know. But I do know that one of my least favorite things for people to do is to accuse them of something when there aren't facts. Perception is not fact.. Regardless of what team they play for or how much they think it might be true. I've known plenty of people who stopped smoking pot as long as they knew they were going to be tested, only to light up as soon as they knew they had a window of time.
Sometimes people need to stop worrying so much about the other team they hate and focus on the fact that these people are actually people. They are no different than the people in other places. They aren't good vs. evil as they relate to college football. Nothing is that black and white. To think otherwise is ignorant and dim.

People are naive if they think their team is immune from drugs. These kids are treated like celebrities and the places they go are filled with all kinds of shite to get into. In LSU's case the compliance dept. does a helluva job keeping things in order and Les had proven multiple times that he isn't afraid to release high profile players. But he also cares about his kids. I'm not sure a lot of coaches are the same way. To some they are just cogs in the wheel. Nothing more, nothing less.

Tuscaloosa police spokesman Sgt. Brent Blankley said Friday that Calloway was a passenger in a car that was stopped driving without lights at 12:49 a.m. Friday. Blankley says officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and found a bag containing marijuana in Calloway's possession.
The running back, who has not played this season, was later released from the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $1,000 bond.
Alabama associate athletic director Jeff Purinton says coach Nick Saban is aware of Calloway's arrest and "this will be handled internally."
Yet another example of "in house" . No suspension that i can find and this was an arrest with possession. He's back on the team no problems. The rules seem to be a bit tougher in Baton Rouge.

No way, was it that obvious?
It's obvious, certainly if a big time player is involved, Bama is going to handle it "in house". Nick will blur the edge of any rule, be it recruiting (such as giving Landon Collins' girlfriend a full scholarship, and then hiring her) or making off the field arrests, drug possession, etc., quietly go away. Ain't that right Pawwwl?
