in all fairness, they said the were aware of some of the allegations, which would lead one to assume, that they were also unaware of others. it more wishful thinking and coping at this point. Not saying anything will happen, though.

FWIW Auburn was aware of the Cam stuff in June as well and working with the SEC

There is chatter that Ed Stinson might be held out of the Texas A&M

From where? Where is this chatter?

You may recall that Stinson's name appeared as "E. Stinson" on an itinerary for a private flight from Nashville but he did not show up.

Not quite. There were OTHER people flying from Nashville to Gulf Shores. He was on their agenda to meet at a restaurant in Gulf Shores. He never showed to that meeting.

I think we need an education on agents here. It is NOT illegal to have meetings or conversations with agents. Bama arranges such meetings for some players. It is illegal to enter into agreement, sign contract, or accept benefits. The meeting at the restaurant - had it occurred - would not have been a violation unless Stinson allowed them to buy his meal or entered into an agreement.

I think they call this a "oh god please be true tweet". It's a very strange phenomenon.

it is also "illegal" for an agent to pay for airfare to have said meeting

NS was pretty adamant from what i recall that no current player had issues. He said he was not aware of what was in the article because he had been on the practice field but I can assure you Bama had a heads up about the article so they could respond. Pretty sure if they knew something in May they knew ED's name was part of it.

I think you just need to admit nothing's gonna come of this and you're angry about that. You need to eat a snickers because you act like a diva when you're hungry.

It was an aggie that started this thread. Other than our resident ITAT nutjob (looking at you allin), most Auburn fans are just finding humor in the situation but don't believe much will happen.

No doubt. Where is the evidence of Stinson having airfare paid for by said agents? The airfare paid for was for Fluker to New Orleans, if I read it correctly. That's the only airfare I saw in the Yahoo report.

Is this the same NS that mentioned, several years ago in a 'presser', he might not be going to Alabama?

I am sure NS can be relied upon to be upfront and honest in 'pressers'.

Again, the statement leads one to believe there were new allegations. so this statement at this point is wishful thinking

it was a private jet right? I doubt anyone except a few could afford that. not saying stinson was at the meeting though. Trey said earlier he did not make the manifest.

They did however meet at shrimp basket in GS, which is owned by a bama booster that has a private jet

as Archie Bunker would say you just plain imbagent. NS has said it on many occasions at the time that he was not going to Bama and even Mal Moore in recent years told the entire story of how it all went down. It happened over a day or two after the Miami season was over. So so you can chose to believe him or not, don't matter to me..But I am pretty confident Stinson will play.
