Parallels:

Saban's first year at LSU: 8-4 with a loss to UAB
Saban's first year at Bama: 7-6 with a loss to UL-M

Saban's second year at LSU: 10-3 with an SEC Championship and Sugar Bowl win.
Saban's second year at Bama: 12-2 with an SEC West title and a Sugar Bowl loss to a mid-major team.

Saban's third year at LSU: 8-5 with a Cotton Bowl loss.
Saban's third year at Bama: TBD

Saban went to two schools in similar situations when he got there. He did better in his first two years at one school than he did at his current school. Will this trend continue?

Guess that means a NC in 2010? And then another NC a few years later with a new coach, and Sabans recruits, after he takes the USC job?

I will go you one better...both times Saban entered year 3 with a less than stellar QB situation

Logic escapes you, but so does flatulence at the dinner table.

It's not unusual for coaches to loss good assistants and other staff after a NC year. Was that the case with Nick?

I expect Bama to be the biggest disappointment this year................... for many LSU fans.

It's all good, though. We won't be losing 5 conference games like some team I know...

no you will just drop a game or two to a nobody team, yall are good at that.atleast we had reasons for our stumble last season.
