I know, and I hate that tremendously!! Bama wishes so bad that they could garner some serious consideration.

If not they will be the new example of teams that got in but didn't deserve to and lost because of it.

If they win one game wouldn't that justify their making the playoffs?

No offense, but Alabama had one early season loss to another team that made the playoffs. Both teams (Alabama and Texas) showed signs that they had improved...more so Alabama than Texas.

Had Georgia beaten or Auburn beaten Alabama they would not have made the playoffs. We can look no further than ourselves for blame.

I honestly do believe they are one of the four best teams in college football, and I also believe Georgia is one of the four best teams. But, both teams lost a game. It is what it is.

Nope. They already lost to the #3 team. It isn't double elimination for Bama but single for everyone else. The sec has nothing but preseason hype and one win over Arizona to prop on. The rest is all the same few teams beating each other and the bad teams at the bottom. The one real test the sec lost.

I get that, but it was a very ealry season loss. They showed a lot of improvement.

Not really. I mean, the SEC did not look great all year like in years past, but the SEC did not fall off the map in one year. It is still one of, if not the toughest conferences in the country.

Personally, where the committee made a mistake was putting Alabama so low (8th) going into championship week. It made the jump that much more crazy optics wise. But Georgia had to drop, Oregon had to drop and FSU looked like crap without their #1 QB. I mean, I am shocked that an undefeated conference champion was jumped, too.

The committee needs to make up their minds, though if they are going to put the four best teams or four most deserving teams in the playoffs. Because they missed the mark on both.
They have resorted to going by eye test.

TCU was that team last year and the sole reason why the committee got it right this season
