In the Big, that was enough to play a weak Wisconsin team for that conference’s championship. In the SEC, it wasn’t.

Not all conferences are created equal.

Saban is right. Had Bama lost to A&M by 30+ we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.

This is why the media has been pumping a mediocre Big 10 as the best conference all year.

You say that now but it's still bama.

The media would be talking about injuries and a fluke loss

If all things were equal and it were reversed and you were talking about Auburn with Bama having played in the Conference champ game you'd say OSU should make it in...

I think we got a view into how bad the Big 10 West is.

...but not the same number of quality wins.

Why do you gumps keep ignoring this? Its not all about losses. There's another part of the equation that must also be considered...ya know, wins against top 15 opponents. Who is yours? OSU has three.

Tell me OSU’s quality wins. I’d say LSU would beat PSU. I’d say MSU with a healthy QB likely would beat Wisconsin. And I Think a&m is comparable to Mich state.

But the losses DO matter. OSU lost by more points this season than the Bama SR class has in their entire career combined. And they lost by 31 to a 7-5 team. If Bama lost to FSU out of conference and then lost to A&M by 31, but beat AU and LSU then win the SEC all we’d hear abouytfrom from fans like you with Bama fatigue is “you can’t lose by 31 to a 7-5 team and deserve to play in the playoffs.

It’s not all about the losses, but the losses - and how horrible they are - matters. Especially if it’s about full body of work.

Who are OSU’s 3? Let’s talk about those teams. If you think Wisc was truely the #4 team in the country then you have no leg to stand on in this debate bc you lack football awareness and objectivity. Your Bama hatred is blinding you.

2015 Ohio State has zero sympathy for the Gumps.

What about the 2016 OSU team? Or the 2016 Penn State team? I bet those teams clearly see the situation

All the debate won’t change anything. The committee will do what the committee wants and we will all live with the results

Like I’ve said, I’m not sure if Bama deserves to get in or not, but I am sure OSU doesn’t. You can’t lose by 31 to an unranked team - a game in which you were dominated and quit - and then with a straight face say you are one of the 4 best teams in the country.

If they don’t put Bama in, fine. I disagree, but it is what it is. But if they put in this OSU team, then you’re going to see OSU suffers the largest margin of defeat in the playoffs in back to back seasons.

Nope. They don't have any, either.

Shut the frick up. Wisconsin would be a middle of the pack SEC East team. Arkansas might give them a game.

12 hours ago Bama fans were counting Fresno St as a quality win against a ranked team.

If Miss St and Texas A&M are quality wins then Michigan has to count as a quality win for Ohio St.
