Bama is 7th in both offense and defense.

The only team in all of FBS that is top 10 in both.

UGA runs less plays, which renders your basic stats worthless, so focus on advanced stats or YPP, which have UGA safely in the top 5 on offense.

The 4 other teams Bama and Georgia played.

Bama
A&M, Ole Miss, Miss St and LSU

Georgia
Missouri, Vandy, South Carolina and Kentucky

Bama played a tougher schedule.

It's funny. Let them keep it up.

UGA is going to skullfrick Bama. And I'm going to enjoy every snap of it.

Alabama runs more plays because they are 2nd in the nation in 3rd down conversion. Very hard to get them off the field.

UGA is 20th. That's respectable, but #2 is elite.

UGA and Bama are 14th and 15th in 3rd down defense conversion, but Bama has played much better offenses while UGA got to play Vanderbilt and South Carolina which are 2 of the worst offenses in the FBS ranked in the 100s. Bama played Ole Miss and MSU which are #5 and 22 respectively.

Yall run more plays because yall have had to play deep into the 4th Q quite often this year, while UGA hasnt.

Yards per play:

UGA 3rd
Bama 13th

Offensive FEI:

UGA 2nd
Bama 3rd

Available yards %:

UGA 3rd
Bama 4th

When you get 1st downs you get another set of downs meaning you get to run more plays. You don't need "advanced" stats it's just common sense.

Alabama is elite on 3rd down while UGA is pretty good.

Both are about equal on 3rd defense. Alabama has slightly better pass rush while UGA is slightly better against the run.

The difference will probably come down to QB play and turnovers.

What about the other side of both?
What about blocking pass rushers? Who is better there?

And running the ball? Who is better there?

UGA definitely has a decent O-line not as good as past years when Pitman was there, but definitely much better than Bama's.

I don't see either O-line holding up that well. UGA will fare better than Bama's though.

I think Bama has dealt with that all year long while UGA hasn't been challenged upfront since the Clemson game.

I expect Bryce Young to handle it better.

Neither team will run for 100 yards. Bama might not get 50.

UGA has been killing clock with backups in 4th Q's. Advanced stats removes these plays, while your basic stats do not.

Bama has been trying to score points with starters in 4th Q's. All of these plays are included in advanced stats.

Thats the difference. Thats the common sense you dont seem to comprehend.

I have to believe in the math over my Fandom.

The analysis of common opponents is a lot more compelling than a random example of one data point.

Anything can happen and it is possible Bama will defy the odds and play their best game, but I'm not confident in it.

No they don't. I don't know anyone who thinks Stetson 3 pick Bennett is going to beat Alabama.

Alabama defense was bad upfront last year and teams could run against them, but still got Stetson to turn it over 3 times.

This Bama front is much better against the run and rushing the passer.

The gap between Stetson Bennett and Bryce Young is miles bigger then the UGA Dline vs the Bama O-line.

B. Young has been running for his life all year and has produced. Bennett has been comfortable for the most part.

Neither one will be comfortable Saturday. Who do you expect to perform better?

I expect B young to handle the pass rush better than Stetson Bennett and that is where the game will be won.

UGA hasn't been in a fight all year since game 1. Bama has won 4 and lost 1.

I expect Bama to handle the game pressure a lot better. If it's close UGA knows they will lose that's why they are predicting a blowout. It's pure hopium.

Bryce is 2 TDs better than Stetson and neither O-line will hold up. My money is Bryce.

'member when Auburn held you scoreless through 3 quarters and you only scored 10 in regulation? You 'member. 'member?

So he’s willfully ignoring the fact that our defense put us in better position which lead to us having shorter drives. That’s dumb. Especially when you consider we are a top 5 team when it comes to taking the yards given.
