Honestly though, their dynasty is ruining it for casual CFB fans. I had a buddy from Cincinatti text me last night after Bama won and said "CFB has become women's basketball. You know who is going to win it all before the season even starts."

Kind of a fair point.

Look at your own Matt Mauck. Not gonna play pro ball and he was anything but the centerpiece of that 03 offense. He was however, an import PART that fit into a system that benefited the offense and won a title despite not having glaring stats.

not disagreeing with you but Matt Mauck actually did manage to start a game in the NFL, surprisingly

dynasties are rarely good for the sport as a whole because the casual fan loses interest. no really debating that. but that doesn't affect that particular team's recruiting in a negative way

If I am a recruit, I tell Arkansas to kick rocks. It's embarrassing to see those hill people tweet at recruits in hoards. They are just so desperate to be known for something other than being fat and eating Tyson chicken.

No. They had better amateur hockey players.

Yeah, b/c Henry, Cooper, Ragland, etc didn't make their mark at Bama.

If I'm a recruit I want to go somewhere that I get exposure for NFL (Bama has 2x the 1st round picks of any other team over the last 7 years), win games (Bama has more consecutive 10+ win seasons than any other team last 8 years), win championships (you already know), and get better.

Bama fits the mold. Other schools do too, but recruits aren't going to stop wanting to go to Bama.

You are correct; the bowls LSU plays in are irrelevant.
