Agreed, there were about 8-10 calls that were head scratchers for both sides.

Literally anyone on this site can fire off multiple examples of refs screwing SEC teams.

This is anything but new.

Bad officiating at Auburn in 2016 helped get our last FB coach fired, clearing the way for Ed O to lead LSU to the GOAT CFB season.

I recall another poorly officiated game at Auburn in 2006 (Ritter’s coming out party).

Then there was the 74-72 game, which needs no explanation for anyone who witnessed it.

This year, some bad calls went in LSU’s favor, so it’s not some anti-LSU conspiracy.

Not trying to pick on Auburn. Just saying it’s not anything new and it’s not just in basketball. SEC refs are bad. Not quite NFL bad, but bad nonetheless.

It's not a "becoming" thing, it's been going on for several years on a grand scale.

FB officials in the SEC have been incompetent and bad for years. LSUs experience at Auburn and in Tuscaloosa over the years has been really bad.

Agree that the officiating has not been an anti LSU conspiracy

Did anyone else see what happened near the end of the State/KY game? Refs allowed KY players to talk shite to Weatherspoon after he was fouled, Spoon asked the ref why they were allowed to do it, ref got pissed, and threw a pretty hard bounce pass to him. These SEC Refs act like children.

Game was horribly officiated, but let's not pretend it was bad "on both sides". I sat right next to Danyelle Musselman last night. I told her, "Im sure glad nobody told you how bad the refs treat Arkansas before you took the job". She busted out laughing and said, "We know now". I said, "You SEE< right?" and she said, "Oh Yeah. Probably going to have to get more aggressive with them going forward". I told her about how crazy Nolan would get with the refs.

Game was awesome, amazing atmosphere between two great coaches and really good teams. Mason Jones is a terror. It's just a shame the officials have to be so goddamn terrible.

The rule changes did more to make basketball officiating more difficult than anything else, in real time it's really hard to make those calls and get them correct without benefit of replay
Especially inside that circle close to the basket
A lot of those calls could go either way
I understand player and coach frustration but to be fair it's the way the NCAA set all this up

So far this year the officiating is so skewed and awful that I think TV Teddy and his crew are the most consistent crew that I have seen. Thats how bad things are with the zebras
