I just wish Bama fans would quit saying, 'Only time will tell if he can be successful at the college level, but my gut says he will be.'

What the hell do you have to go off of?

He's a nice guy, well spoken, seems caring, etc, but many SEC coaches are too. Grant was that way...

Bottom line. No one will know if he was a homerun or terrible choice until a few years from now.

I am not sure about next year though, what are the expectations in just one year?

He's done a ton of motivational speaking since being let go by the Knicks and working for ESPN. I've been watching a bunch of videos of him and he is a super likable guy with story that will translate well to recruits.

Having a NBA ring and winning COY in the league will get him in to the doors of some recruits homes Bama wouldn't have been able to in the past.

Grant didn't have the resume or an ounce of the personality that Avery Johnson has.

Got to love the spin from bammers. Avery was out of coaching by his own choice, yet the best job he can find when he wants back in is Alabama

Exactly, unlike you farm hands, we can afford coaches that don't cheat!

Like bammers cares if a coach cheats. This is evidenced by your worship for a midget that has already gotten your football program on probation once

Texas got Smart
Tenn got Barnes
Bama got Avery

When viewed in this context, can explain to me how Bama fans should be pumped when they easily got the third best coach in this hiring cycle?

Why not the guy at Utah?

I'm assuming you're talking about Nick Saban. I would like a link to his involvement in Alabama receiving probation.

Thanks in advance.

Seriously? How do you know we got the 3rd best coach?

Rick Barnes a bum and will be fricked without the influx of NBA talent in Texas he did nothing with. Outside of one final four run at VCU what has Shaka done that is better than AJ.

You do realize how fluky the NCAA tournament is in comparison to a NBA Finals run. You have to win 3 7 game series just to make the finals and he almost won the whole damn thing.

Like this is just getting ridiculous.

Maybe one day Alabama fans will stop responding to Auburn fan 23. Maybe one day.

Is it that hard to recognize that his sole purpose on this website is to elicit a reaction from you?
