So you acknowledge Harsin is a grifter but still insist AU was stupid to try and do something with him once they figured that out? Dumb..

No. I'm not talking about his eventual firing, which had to be done. I am talking about the 1st attempt. You tried to fire him for cause after 1 year. He decided to tank your program in response, because, he still got his buyout anyway. That dude absolutely hates Auburn after Auburn tried to pull that shite. That move also poisoned Auburn in coaching circles.

because winning the sec west, Heisman winner, one of the greatest offenses to play college football and being in contention every year is so underwhelming when he started out with 20 something scholarship players his first year.
and it’s only cost you $40 million thus far, give or take

great ROI

ETA keep retroactively dropping that “number of scholarship players when BK started” every time, eventually you’ll get to zero

LOL. It’s less and less all the time.

Rather surprised Freeze hasn't done better. And with Saban retired now, this is their best opportunity in a long time to move up in the pecking order.

But after enough consecutive losing seasons that simply becomes who you are. Same with the Aggies and the 8-4 label. Each team is what their record says they are.

Drinkwitz did get that "low expectations" label but what was Mizzou roster like when he took over? Then there was little improvement with that roster until NIL and the new transfer rule change gave him a much better chance to win more than 7 games. He was also learning on the job and the AD and fans were not pushing him to win big right away. This year Mizzou roster is the best one ever due to NIL and the new transfer rule change. I am thinking a 10 win season once again this year. I believe next year might be even better. This year Drinkwitz put more on the transfer portal players than the HS recruits. I think he will do that again after this season is over. Drinkwitz is slowly getting better. Freeze on the other hand has a lot of HC experience that would not be a good look for him if he goes around 6-6 for this coming season.

Throwinf stones from glass houses I see. What's worse, having a coach who inherited one of the top rosters in CFB and going 9-4 or having a coach who is improving every year that started out with barely enough scholarship players to field a complete team?

Do you agree or disagree ?

Define good coaches?
Who would be a good coach and available?
Why did bama hire Karen who can’t recruit without Saban doing all the work for him?

He went from 6-6 and a bowl appearance in year one to 5-7 and no bowl appearance in year two. I don't think that's improvement.

I seem to recall Alabama going through 6 head coaches from Bryant to Saban.

Tuberville was here 10 years
Malzahn was here 7 years
Chizik was here 3 years in between Tuberville and Malzahn.

One win a national title and the other two had it stolen from them .

You obviously don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.

We had a bad AD who hired Harsin
We thought we had Kiffin but his kid didn’t want to leave Ole Miss. thus we ended up with Freeze.

If Freeze goes Auburn will probably go after Kiffin again and the kid want be a factor this time. Kiffin will never win the SEC or national title with Ole Miss.

You clearly dont know what you are talking about lol. BK won the SEC West his first year at LSU. BK has only had one season where he had less than 10 wins.

Freeze's style of football was more unorthodox when he first arrived in the SEC more than a decade ago. Now, however, just about every team runs some variant of the HUNH spread offense that men like him and Malzahn introduced to the conference. You actually have to be a good coach to succeed with it now as it's no longer just a gimmick but quite standard throughout college football.

It's why Malzahn eventually was fired and it's why Freeze is not doing as well as people thought he would be. Granted, all of that could change this year but I'm still not convinced Freeze is that great of a coach.
