I do. You also realized we played against about 8 teams with top 25 defenses too, right?

TULSA is the smallest D1 school in America with a budget that amounts to some loose change in a mason jar.

I love how Bama paints Tulsa as the New York Giants in the C-USA.

Gus crushed HS records with HS talent, at multiple divisions.

Gus led an offense at Arkansas that led the SEC and nation in numerous individual categories, with SEC talent, against SEC competition.

Overlook Auburn at your own risk.

I love how Arky and Auburn fans point to how they were such an offensive powerhouse behind Malzahn when they played the crappiest defenses in the nation.

Bama's offense last season was not prolific it was anchored by its offensive line that was able to help Bama average nearly 6 yards on first down. Beyond that Bama never had a strong offense last season, it will get better as it has better receivers and a deep threat QB.

My point was that you don't need a great offense to win games but you do need a consistent one.

Gus had Jones and MacFadden, anyone would have had a helluva running game.

Again.. the bottom of the barrel defenses.

I think Auburn will be decent on offense. Tenn and Auburn are both in the same boat when it comes to offense.

I do too. But folks expecting a miracle are gonna be disappointed this year. Bad.

An offense where the receivers catch the ball, running backs don't fumble, and one that doesn't go 3n out every other possession will be a miracle. Most of us don't expect a top 30 offense as that simply won't happen, I do expect around a 60th ranked offense. We do have several very good offensive weapons on the team with Tate, Fannin, Onterio, Benton, Carr, Zach, and so on. While that is not a top offense that is a very good offense if it is executed well.

That's what Bama was last year, I don't think yall's will be that efficient this coming year. Maybe in another year, but I just can't see that huge an improvement. And we averaged over 30 ppg last year too.

Bama had no passing game last year outside of "get the ball to Julio". AU's offense under Cox was in the 80s with a weak passing game. Well we have the same people back and we have a QB who has connected multiple times to receivers throwing 40 yards in the air. Cox never had the arm strength to do that. Our receivers will be a big improvement and will put this offense up there.

Sorry 76th in 2006 when we had no "big name" RBs and our receiving corps that was very talented had gone. Knox has continued coaching down the new receivers to the point they forgot everything. When a new coach comes in and spends the entire spring practice coaching the 3 techniquies to get out of press coverage your previous coach is an idiot.

Benton is to the point he'll command double teams this season already and he has more to grow. Todd is very capable of getting them the deep ball so I'm expecting a very good offense compared to before.

Easily in the top-50 offense imo.

I won't go that far lol. It could happen if our passing game comes up well but it would require Zach and Carr to really step up.

So you have receivers so incompetent that they have to be taught this, yet they're going to be middle of the road this year. With a QB that is still not proven and an O-line that couldn't keep from getting false starts if their lives depended on it last year.

Fannin is a Percy Harvin type talent. He's a monster. Going to cause nightmares for teams this year.

Benton + Fannin and a QB who can get them the ball will put you into the top-50. Especially with a decent RB.

They don't have anyone who has proven they could do this yet.

Umm....no. Fannin is good, but nowhere near a Percy Harvin.
