You can't do that to your kids, bro.

We know what to do. And we have made our decision. They are safe on The Plains.

Get accepted, and make some money. Earn it.

What!

When has Auburn ever catered to the "Elites."

Our outreach and mission as a University is literally feeding and taking care of Alabama.

You have never stepped foot in Auburn, AL, have you?

I'm starting to wonder the same for you.

What I'm saying is, if you can follow me on this, that Auburn is STARTING to cater to the "Elites" in this state. It used to be that Auburn catered to the rural students who wanted to go into agriculture/engineering while Bama was the destination for the city kids whose parents were lawyers, doctors, and business folks.

You have no clue, baw.

Auburn would have been destroyed, if Alabama lawyers had their way.

It's best to let your University in Tuscaloosa to enjoy the profits of your labor. Which is sad and pathetic.

No. The number of applicates is correct. Auburn University joined the "Common App" system in 2020 or 2021. This is also used by Alabama, South Alabama, UAH, and several others. This is the reason for record number of applicants.

Just last year, Auburn furthered its efforts to reach the best students in the state and beyond by joining the Common App system— a powerful online college application platform that serves more than 3 million applicants, teachers, counselors and advisors throughout the nation and world. Since doing so, Auburn has received more than 26,000 applicants through the Common App tool.

There is no "gaming", and it is correct.

Then don't respond to an "Alter".

Have the ability to shut your mouth, or create a counter-argument.

I thought that Alabama-UAT lawyers were better at these things.

I think most of those kids come from families that can afford that tuition or else they wouldn't be there.

My son had pretty much full ride offers from both and chose to go to Tuscaloosa. Alabama has one of the best programs for National Merit Finalists in the country. He got a full ride for 5 years in the STEM-MBA program. Auburn offered full tuition I believe and most of room/board for 4 years but Bama offered 5th year tuition and stipend, study abroad $ etc. He thought the facilities and labs at Bama were nicer. Also we thought the dorms were on another level. My friends son was set to go into a dorm at Auburn last fall and was told right before school started that his dorm was being condemned/ remodeled and he had to scramble to find a place to live. My son wanted to do this all on his own, is extremely frugal and is eyeing that $ in his 529 to start his life.

So all of these schools now use the "common app", yet only Auburn is reporting record numbers of applications and halving their acceptance rate? If they joined the "common app" in 2020/21, then why are dramatic changes being reported for 2023 and not 2021/22?

Again, something is wrong with these reported numbers. Period. It is evident and plainly so. I am not sure why this is so difficult to understand.

Regardless, have a great day and weekend. Enjoy the Music City Bowl.

Unless something has drastically changed, a student (from Alabama) that can get in to one can get in to the other. I can't recall anyone who applied for both that wasn't either rejected or accepted by both.

This. My 2024 graduate got into both as did all their friends. Neither were hard to get into.

Your son never visited Auburn. And you are a liar.

Dont post bullshite to glorify Alabama.

There isn't a single building in Auburn that is being torn down at the present.

There is no need for that in this post, baw.

It started in 2021. Those applying in 2021 are applying for the 2022-2023 School Year.

2022 had 45,693 applicants with a 43.74% acceptance rate.

There is nothing wrong. I'm not sure why that is difficult to understand after showing the facts.

He didn't say torn down - he said

He would be correct - Cambridge Hall had to be closed unexpectedly in early August 2023 due to water damage from a storm.

Isn't Auburn like Harvard or something?

I thought Leto said his top 3 choices were Stanford and Seoul National University and Auburn...

wow, what a dick. He most definitely visited and so did I. The Honor dorms 100% did not compare to the ones at Alabama. Sorry not sorry. I didn’t say “torn down” I’m saying “remodeled.” I believe they had a water intrusion/ mold remediation situation and my friend’s son had to find another place to live a couple weeks before school started. I live I Louisiana, hate Bama football with a passion and have no ties other than that’s where my son with a 35 ACT decided to go to school. If it makes you feel better I root for Auburn in the Iron Bowl LOL.
