Damn you are dumb. It is literally right there. And you didn’t even edit it. But tell us about that fine Auburn education. Please, we can’t wait to hear someone tell us how great Auburn is.

What was it in 1997? I was accepted out of state.

My kid has a 3.6 GPA, taking 3 AP courses this year, and two last year. She scored a 26 ACT. She applied and got waitlisted. Final decision comes this Spring.
Mine a 3.9 GPA with AP courses and a 28 on the ACT and she got in with a partial scholarship. I will say Auburn took the longest to accept her and offer the scholarship. Bama was the fastest, Ole Miss second.

Tuscaloosa your continued interest (obsession?) with anything posted about Auburn continues. While I do agree that all large organizations such as AU or UofA post statistics in a manner that puts them in the best light, your description of Auburn’s actions as “incredibly deceiving “ just highlights to everyone that nothing you say about Auburn can be trusted.

Doesn’t sound that hard

We finally pulled the trigger. Congrats to all Auburn Alumni. This is our University, and we need to focus on the students over money every single day as a University.

Southern Union is awesome baw. They will treat your son or daughter like Royalty, and send them to Med, Law, Engineering, Pharmacy, or Teaching Careers in a heartbeat.
The Onion will take care of you. I promise. Give it two semesters, and your kid will be ready for the next step. Some kids need some time with College to adjust. They will literally do anything to make you succeed in the future on the way to a B.S.

You just started a sentence with an actual number, didn’t spell it out, to brag about Auburn academics.

At what point did I brag about Auburn academics. I'll wait for more lies from you.

Auburn may have a great pharmacy and vet school, .
And engineering and nursing and architecture and graphic design and of course agriculture.
But Alabama’s got a law school and a business school. Greed and blood sucking seems to be their identity all around.

Speaking of greed. Check out the Wall Stree Journal article today. You guys are starting to price out families that you claim you care about.
Priciest Public School
Meanwhile the University of Alabama hasn't raised in-state tuition in quite a few yearsd

Link?
Yes, as programs improve in quality, so does the cost of attendance. Sort of like how it costs more money to attend Alabama football games.

I'm pretty sure Alabama-UAT raped their way over the past 10 years for out-of-State students. For probably $45,000 per kid...a year.
For a shitty education and degree.
And, now those kids have nothing but debt, everlasting.

Didn't mean you personally but the countless academic smacktalk that you guys start seem to always point out that Auburn has always been the University for the "common man" in the state. I am only pointing this out because I find it interesting that AU is now catering to the elites and I'm noticing it where I live as well. It used to be that University of Alabama was seen as the snobby wealthy university that the kids go to and now it is kind of reverse in that UA is recruiting more rural students from the state.

Did you just look at the 44% number or did you even look at the surrounding data? Applications nearly doubled, while the enrolled and actual percentage of accepted enrolled stayed the same.
My son has a masters degree in higher education and worked for years in college admissions here in the state of Alabama at a major university. These categories of numbers do not change that dramatically in the space of a single year. They. Simply. Do. Not. Ever. If you do see changes of this magnitude, you can guarantee with some certainty that either the numbers or the process is being gamed somehow.
It would be like your car suddenly getting 40% better gas mileage. Or receiving a huge raise with no explanation from your boss. Again, Auburn has a fine academic reputation. But they have not made substantial academic improvements over the last year for which these numbers are reported.
Something is wrong with the reporting of these numbers and it is plainly evident. But honestly, gaming of acceptance numbers are pretty much standard among all universities, and they are effectively meaningless to anyone with any understanding whatsoever of the way they are derived. This is not specifically an Auburn problem, it is endemic to ALL universities. We are merely noting that one particular self-reported data set by Auburn within this general group is wrong. That is not a stretch at all.

I think most of those kids come from families that can afford that tuition or else they wouldn't be there.

I see that you are just a troll, but I'm going to be the level headed person here and just say that both Universities serve their purpose. UA with the liberal arts and AU with more STEM. Both have great degrees and both have useless degrees. Why is it so hard for some of you Auburn guys to admit that? Instead you have to put us down at every opportunity.
