Don't ask the question if you don't want the answer.

I didn't ask a question. And whatever makes you feel better about Auburn dominating LSU and winning the National Championship is fine with me.

So the answer is speculation?

I'm sorry, but it is impossible to reasonably determine which games any team would have won or lost if a player didn't play in them, especially a QB. The offense would have been a completely different offense. Defenses would have to scheme and play differently. You have to factor in all other variables like how the team would have prepared in the spring and fall practices going into the season, because those would affect the team and games. The only thing you can say is that we probably wouldn't have been as good of a team...........well no shite Sherlock.
LSUcc--go back to your rant and cook up some more theories. We don't need your crap here.

It was so hard for opposing teams to come up with a defensive gameplan.
It took an act of god for Auburn to beat Alabama.. by the time that game came around, Alabama had the perfect defensive play calling in place to stop everything Auburn had done to that point.. Replace Cam with any other QB that didn't show you their hand before playing - that game would have played out COMPLETELY different. For better or for worst.. I don't know?
As for the defense - the defense would have played different, because they would have gotten onto the field faster - or slower, because of the plays we would have had with a more pass oriented QB.. would it have slowed down the clock more.. or sped it up!?! Who knows? If Fairly had a little more time to rest, would he have been more explosive.. what if the DBs had less time to rest - but the opposing QBs did as well.
That's my whole point, with a different offense comes a different defense as well.. and changes the way the other offense and defense have to run their plays. It's ignorant to "take away a player from a NC team", it's just stupid talk, and is only "worried about or discussed" by people who are insecure about their own team.. plain and simple.

That sure is some statistic you brought to the table.
As far as your "stats" go, They are irrelevant. Auburn could have won every game by 20 points last year, and with Cam being a significant aspect of the offense, it is conceivable that we lose a significant amount, but it doesn't matter. There isn't a valid argument in that, because you take him out of the equation, you have no idea how the other players, given more opportunities, perform.

Someone already mentioned this, but seriously, there is no way Bama even sniffs a BCS NC in 2009 without Ingram. Where's Florida without Tebow? Why is this argument about Cam Newton constantly being made. It's ridiculous.
This is my take on it. Remember just an opinion:
I think Newton was more irreplacable on a team like Auburn that had a poor defense (based on how many points they gave up every game) than Tebow was on a team like Florida that had a good defense (highly ranked in most statistical categories). Florida had a better chance of winning games than Auburn did because Florida also had a defense that could keep them in games in addition to Tebow. Its the same with Alabama. Teams that are built on defense dont require great playmakers on offense. Look at LSU. Auburn needed Newton to keep them in games on a regular basis. This whole debate is based on irreplacability (dont quote me on that word). I believe Newton was the most irreplacable player that I have seen in a long time. This is probably why this issue is brought up so much.

I think tebow was just as irreplaceable as Cam. If you remember back to that season, they had plenty of close games where it seemed tebow literally just willed them to victory.

Audodger asked why this keeps being brought up, so I gave him the answer. No stats needed, other than the $180,000. You know that this investigation is still going on right?

You "remove" stats.
But you never replace them outside of your opinion that "the replacement would never be as good".
Which can neither be proven or disproven.
Ergo... half-cocked.
Don't ever apply for a position as an actuary, brother. You'd starve.
