I just don’t get the hype surrounding the game yesterday. And surely don’t get the reaction from Auburn and Alabama fans. We were absolutely MELTING on the Alabama board. Seems ridiculous.
Pr

Never in the entire history of SEC basketball has there been a 1 v 2 matchup. Ever.
Once in a lifetime type opportunity that may never happen again. Auburn won. Bama lost. In your own house.

can't imagine being this hyped over a meaningless regular season game with no implications.

You should be at church asking for forgiveness for bearing false witness.

Went to the early service thank you.

Hmmmm, meaningless? That game had pretty big championship implications. Our road to a championship is much easier over the next 6 games than you guys'.
Not sure much has changed here. Even with a win, we'd need to have a herculian run over the next few games to have a shot at the regular season title. If we make that happen, we can still win the regular season with a win at Auburn arena the last game of the season and then we'll all be looking at last night's game as the catalyst.

You went to church just to come out lying. Typical

But y’all are acting like something majorly significant happened yesterday. It’s nearly irrelevant. And would be nearly irrelevant had Alabama won by 30.
Look at the league standings, the rankings and the remaining schedules.
There's a conference title and a #1 bid on the line and yesterday (apart from the 1vs.2 fanfare) was a pretty big stepping stone towards securing those two prizes. Still plenty of basketball to be played but Auburn has to feel pretty confident about where they sit now - a two game lead in the standings, 3 straight home games against unranked opponents and a NET score that won't budge an inch even if we drop our road games at Rupp and aTm.

I do not want to diminish the accomplishment of winning the SEC regular season. But with Alabama’s remaining schedule, and recent success, the regular season title just doesn’t seem that important.

I refuse to believe you think the game was as significant as you’re letting on.
And for what it’s worth(seemingly nothing to you as you think I’m being disingenuous), I was posting that the game’s significance was being WAY overblown well before the game.

I am MUCH more interested in seeing Alabama figure out a little bit better scheme with Sears and the other guards than I am worried about winning out against this schedule.

Is AuburnTigers Chexmix? Or is AuburnTiger Chexmix? I get them confused. But this sure reads like a Chexmix thread.

We're the #1 team in the land. What else do we need?
Posted on 2/16/25 at 12:33 pm to imjustafatkid
But, we would need to lose a few games for that to happen. Not saying @Kentucky and @ A&M are sure fire wins for us, but in all likelihood, we could have the regular season championship wrapped up before we play you guys again.

Most likely, you'll have it wrapped up because winning out was never likely with our schedule.
