I' give anything for us to take back over in basketball.
We are not UK. Recruiting says otherwise, but we can be a solid #2 every year. We can give you frickers competition and can get more than 10k for a bball game.

I've said for years nobody else in the conference gives a shite about basketball the way UK and Arkansas do. They might pretend they do when they have a few good years, but with us, it's in our DNA

Tennessee has been 10x more competitive against Kentucky than anybody else in the league in recent history. Certainly much more so than Arkansas and Florida.

My dad was at a game back then. He was shocked after the game. A kid wanted Big O's signature on a razorback basketball card. O dropped the kids razorback basketball card in the rain to go jump on top of a car and ride off.

UT could make some noise if they recruited strong with a good coach. They have just never cared as much about bball as they have in football.

UT has a great basketball program, but will always be a football first school. Arkansas has been, and are leaning the way again to being a basketball first school

We have been mediocre for the most part. That's not our programs natural place based on recruiting and talent. A good coach can win at Arkansas.
2 things matter in college basketball. Coaching and recruiting. Coaching is #1 and Recruiting is #2. They largely effect each other.
We have the talent in state to compete. We have just been lacking a coach to utilize it. Musellman is a damn good coach.

You realize Barnes is the only SEC coach with a sustained winning record against Cal since taking over as HC at their University, correct?
