I feel like people are starting to forget how much better Vick was as an athlete than basically anyone we'd seen or have seen since- dude was the fastest player in the NFL and had the strongest arm. He never put it together completely (would have been crazy in say Chip Kelley's offense or in a read option scheme at peak skill) but as a college RS Frosh he almost single handedly beat a wire to wire #1 Team that had like 5 top 15 front 7 players.

Well he does run a 4.2 40 along with all of his 4.2 WR's according to the AU press. He even has an OL with 4.5 speed.

So he's mean to dogs, too?

The last true 4.2 guy the SEC had was probably Jeff Demps and before him Trindon Holliday.

Shiftiest, maybe. Fastest, no.

Vick admits he got by on his athleticism while in ATL. Had he truly applied himself to film study and mechanics, he'd be a HOF. With all that being said, he was an electrifying player

Auburn has had some 4.3 guys recently, no 4.2 guys, though.
Corey Grant, Mario Fannin, Onterio McCalleb and Demond Washington were all 4.3 guys.
John Franklin is probably more in the low 4.4 range.

. The Georgia and Bama games were pure luck.
Auburn lead most of both those games.

The games in their entirety weren't flukes. Just the endings.

Not that it matters, but you're wrong as uzh. AU lead for 10 minutes against Bama. Bama led about 18. War Eagle though.

The end of the Auburn/Alabama game was not a fluke. Unorthodox? Yes. Different? Yes. Common? No. Competitive advantage? Yes.

He drew a lot of comparisons to Campbell, but not to Cam (unless one was being facetious). Despite being awful, JJ was a completely different kind of QB than Cam.

Franklin wasn't even good enough to start at East MS CC
