Yea I agree with that. I'm was just saying his past has no effect on his QB skills or athletic ability.

How about 30 TD's, 8 ints, and over 3500 yards passing then...if Cam does that, it will be a real long season for Auburn...you are right.

With that pressue, he had the mindset to throw it away as opposed to sacks adn ints...his line and defense sucked, not him.

I could spend all day telling you what JJ did and did not do relative to Arkansas and the Big12. His performances in terms of stats seem to stick out to you but what seems lost is what he couldn't do...or did do when he shouldn't have. But what JJ did is arbitrary.

How he favors Cam is my opinion but all of that, today, is also arbitrary. I have no idea how well prepared he will be. None of us do...regardless of affiliation. But we all know most if not ALL of Cam's success will be between the ears in 2010. He has a lot to learn in a relatively short amount of time. With Codi at WR and Tyrik gone, Cam is the only tuck and run QB left. And if he tucks and runs too much in this league, you know something has gone wrong...and will go wrong. JMO...

True...i just thought it was an interesting choice of comparison considering that JJ did have a pretty good year last season.

Thats a pretty huge stretch. Didnt look that fast to me really. It appears faster with HS kids.

Be completely honest and tell me how you think Newton will do in Malzahn's offense.

I think he will do very well actually. I can see Auburn competing for the West with Newton at QB this year. Major upgrade.

Will he even win the job?
Who would take it from him? Its his, hands down.

Auburn's OL is not very good. Most of their gimmicks from this past season were done in order to prevent Todd from dropping back to try and complete a pass. Now I do not know what gimmicks Mal will come up with, but his success will not be because Auburn has a good OL.

Opening holes for 2700 yards rushing and only allowing 3 more sacks than Bama's o-line is not very good? Really?

He just wanted to get his gimick quip in there. Had to lay the foundation for it. This will likely become a common theme for the entire gus malzhan tenure.

The worst D in the league put on a clinic for 3 quarters on the OL/Todd
