Most of this is due to expanded testing. My son had it in July and it was going around campus during that time. Several front line players had it then, but are now over it. Once this wave of testing is finished, you will not see many new cases. Not saying they will not be there, just most will not be tested.

A1abana officials announced a positivity rate of less than 1 percent among students who were tested during the reentry process. Those numbers have risen significantly.

“Just in the last few days as we’ve tested at Coleman Coliseum and the Student Health Center, we’ve seen the numbers jump up from 1 percent to 4 percent to 5 percent,” Pope said in the meeting with student leaders. “And in one particular case, I think it was Coleman Coliseum (Thursday), actually it might be the Student Health Center, we saw 29 percent of the students who tested were positive.”

Uh, yeah. If you read the entire statement, you'd know that the 29% was from testing people with contact with known positives. So less than 1 in 3 had it despite being exposed to it. Big fricking deal. When are we going to quit hiding in fear and isolation? This can't continue forever.

Weird deflection for the adversity facing LSU and O over rape allegations, but I will allow it.

My aunt told us Sunday at lunch that if all the men would wear a condon when they talk to girls it would frick up the numbers on condon 19.
She may be pulling my leg or maybe not.

Well Auburn is supposed to be the smart Bama school. (Lol) I am sure dekes will have a huge Cornovirius party soon at bama.

I just attempted to raise two teenagers and frick it if you can get them to listen to a damn thing their parents or anyone over 25 says about anything. My daughter hasn’t been able to legally hang out with her classmates since March. These kids can’t be contained now. It’s like herding cats. It’s not their fault at this stage. But can the Auburn administration handle it? They have world class infirmary, just keep them there.

Two of the kids just got in few hours ago and are sick as shite now. Their parents send them to their beach house, but not everyone has a beach house to send the sick kids. This shite is unstoppable.

No, don't send 'em to the beach house. Some of us live at the fricking beach and don't want your 'Rona laced kids coming to the beach and acting like nothing's wrong with them, going to restaurants and bars and Publix to buy their groceries. That's just dumping your problems and responsibilities on somebody else who doesn't know they are being screwed over. Keep your sick kids in your own damn guest room.

or just for common courtesy?

ETA btw, this is going to happen at every school where students are allowed back on campus.

Is letting fear & panic too big a cost to have footb2?
Because that is what will kill football this year.

Correct. If you're 65+, have a pre-existing condition like asthma, or are really overweight then yes this virus can mess you up.

Otherwise, something like 99.2% of people who get it will only experience mild to moderate symptoms. Some won't even know they have it at all.
