Please link to those who have made this claim kid?

People are talking as if Auburn could potentially win the division.

But Auburn does have a path to winning the division. Not completely ridiculous.

Auburn winning out when they weren't supposed to is a very Auburn thing to do.

We have two very tough opponents the next two weeks. If we find a way to win those and not pull another loss to a weak SC team then the reality is Bama and Auburn are playing for the West.

Thank you for getting it right, but your need to be accurate on punctuation is a slight fail.

about 70% of being a college coach is recruiting

I feel he will succeed here, but it might take a minute or two for him to get there.

I rather a coach need to work into recruiting at a high level than not know how to develop the talent he puts on the field. He appears to have that in spades.

Malzahn for all the good he did at recruiting fell flat at developing talent, and those around him minus TWill at LB's, Carnell at RB, and Rodney at DL.

Bama has to make TAMU elite since they beat their asses.

Just forget the fact they lost to Arkansas and State

well, they can. this might be before your time but there was once a game where bama lost on a missed field goal late in the game. auburn has all sorts of funky magic and really anything can happen.

I distinctly remember several of your fans calling for Bobo to be fired.

I'm sure I was probably caught up in the heat of the moment after the Penn St game and the head scratcher fade call on 4th and goal. But that's what we fans do. Overreact to things in the moment.

I'll say what I've said a couple times now on Bobo: He will drive you crazy with play calling sometimes (I'm sure you're aware as a Georgia fan). I think he can abandon the run at times or a little too fast if the team gets down. But having said that, his player development is elite. He can flat out teach offensive football to kids. For that alone, he was Harsin's best assistant hire.

We really need him to be what he's been in the past on the recruiting trail as Auburn's recent recruiting woes are well documented. As others have said, the '23 class is where we will truly see what this staff can do on the trail.

Personally, it might be best if the Nick Fairley / Dirty AU bull shite was just let go.

I agree, but it isn't Georgia fans that bring him up. It's Auburn fans trying to troll Georgia fans. And, like clockwork we fall for it.

If y'all want those two players to be let go, then y'all need to let them go. I've never seen a Georgia fan bring up Fairley, although I am sure it has happened. I have seen Cam brought up by people, though.

A touch of humility would be nice. AU should have played for 3 Natties this century, period as well as through an undefeated '93 Probation?), jipped in '83.
Is this what you call humility? I mean you can't claim anything if you miss while on probation. That's on Auburn. As for 2004? I thought Auburn was gypped and was upset they were not picked to play for the title.

quote:

AU is long overdue regardless of 2004, '93, '83. Those are my memories that stand out in my 51 years cheering for AU. Can any SEC team outside of Bama come anywhere close over those years?

I mean for missing on titles? Yes. Georgia. 2002. 2007. 2012. 2017.

We had teams all those years that COULD have won a title and none were marred by being on probation. But we didn't win and to claim those as titles is silly.
While I think Auburn should have picked to play in 2004, you were not. Just because USC vacated it doesn't mean Auburn can claim the title. Think of it this way...had Auburn been picked to play and got beaten by USC and then USC vacated, would Oklahoma been correct to claim that title? Of course not. For Auburn fans to act like they somehow deserved that title is silly.

I think A&M takes the win, 5-2. Each defense gets a safety and A&M kicks a 52 yard FG for the win....in the absolutely most boring game this year. :)

Nah. Auburn has a better offense than Texas A&M. I do think A&M has a better defense....overall. Honestly? I think Auburn wins the game, but it is a game I am looking forward to seeing. Should be a good one.
