I’m just jumping in to say you should all feel supremely confident

I'm not really sure where our confidence is coming from, I think the schedule is likely too hard for AU to make much out of this year.

I think we'll beat LSU, but I'm not particularly confident about it.

Fairly confident. The game being at home is huge for Auburn in general, and specifically for this series. Gus usually takes a few games to figure out his offense, but having a returning QB the caliber of Stidham should help alleviate that.

LSU is losing starting QB, RB's, and top WR's and is breaking in new OC. Also, Auburn should have a pretty stout defense, especially up front. There are some questions in the secondary, but getting lid up in the passing game isn't something I am very concerned about LSU doing, especially on the road when Auburn should be able to get some good pressure on the QB.

Only way I see Auburn losing this game is if we come out very poor on offense to start the season. Poor offensive line play not giving Stidham time, and no production at RB could spell trouble for AU early on in the season. But even under that scenario, I could see Auburn winning an ugly, close game at home. I give us a 69% chance to win

It will come down to offensive line play. If Auburn's oline is a bad as one of the Auburn posters say, it will be a long day for their offense. Chaisson, Rashard, Fehoko, and Rougarou will be in the backfield all day. As for LSU's oline, I am confident in LSU's guards. It sounds like Cushenberry will be fine at Center. Saadiq is fine at one tackle, but the other is up in the air to me. If they give Myles (McMillan?) time they will have plenty options to throw to, and CEH will get some yard rushing.
