Rationalizing already

There’s no rationalization anything. That’s the reality. There’s a handful of coaches at the top of the food chain. You’ve got two choices, hire a d1 retread that’s been passed around multiple schools like a Lane Kiffin or you elevate up from the lower ranks where the vast majority of those schools take a beating a couple times a year to pay the bills. Consistent winners at those levels don’t stay there long. It’s the nature of the beast.

Schematically I don’t think anyone had a better year than he did offensively.

I would’ve hired him and paired him with either Durkin or Baker from LSU and felt good going into portal season.

Auburn should be a G5 school then. I thought Auburn was supposed to be this premier program, not a small school that has to take a chance on a bottom tier AAC guy. Auburn is supposed to be able to hire away from whoever they want. They can't though and won't cut the cancer out that prevents them from doing so.

Yeah, Oklahoma State coming off 1-11 season so they will likely suck his first year but if given time I think he will have their offense rolling.

For the record, I wanted to hire a coordinator that has been winning on a winning team if we couldn't get a "splash" hire.I dont trust G5 hires and Auburn has bad luck recently. HOWEVER, if I had to choose one it would be Golesh. I dont know anymore about him than any other keyboard warrior but I trust he will improve the offense and if Durkin can maintain a legit defense then Auburn has an opportunity to become a serious football team again.

By your logic Bama should have never hired KD. It’s such a lesser school than Bama. Why would they want to infect their program with a coach from a lowly school like that?

You’ve done more rationalizing over the Golesh hire than anyone. In fact you’ve progressed from rationalizing to full on melting. Get a hold of yourself. You’re making a complete arse of yourself right now.

I’ve always been a fan of Heupel schematically so this hire could work for Auburn if you can get a QB capable of running his system.

He can adapt to a mobile guy who’s limited as a passer like Deuce because he’s done it the last two years in Tampa, but you would really be better off with someone who can stretch the field and get the ball to your receivers in space like Heupel did a couple years ago when he had Hooker.

Continuing the tradition of hiring offensive minded coaches like Malzahn, Harsin, and Freeze.

Keep ducking us like you have been the last 100 years. Auburn is a G5 school and you know it. Playing trans with made up nattys. Just cause you put a dress on 1993 and call it a natty, we know its trans.

It’s so weird to see a fan of a minor Sunbelt school in lower Alabama melt so hard over who Auburn hired. You’re genuinely angry over this. It’s bizarre.

As an Auburn graduate and a Troy graduate, I can do what I want.

And what you want to do is pitch a slobbering hissy fit from the looks of it.

Best hire they've made since Gus.

Improved USF and had them playing tough.
