He woulda been fired anyway, and getting arse raped by your most hated rival doesn't bother you?

You guys just act like you won the lottery....you just got blown out 49-0 and your coach got fired.....I know you are glad to get rid of Chizik but its not like you know what is going to happen next...anyone is better than Chizik but its not like you're going to be lapping Bama, LSU, or UGA anytime soon.....

Not this year. The emotional investment in this team by yesterday was at about 5%. Losing the Clemson, MSU and especially LSU games hurt a LOT worse. Then the Arky loss. Ole Miss and Vandy were kinda meh. Texas A&M was embarrassing and the end of the road as far as caring this year.

Hell, I watched 1 quarter of the UGA game, didn't watch any last week, and the 1st quarter of the bama game.

Losing yesterday was one of the least painful of the season for me. My day and night yesterday didn't skip a beat from that game.

I don't ever want a critical word from Auburn fans again on Alabama being impatient.

Oh, STFU.

If Saban had the disgraceful year that Chizik had, he would have been fired mid season. Imagine losses to EVERY conference opponent and losing 63-21, 38-0 and 49-0 in the last three. Saban would have been fired at half time of one of those games. Bama fans are the most notoriously impatient people on earth.

I won money off of it, and sealed Chizik's fate. Not too bad.

Not at all. For some reason after we lost to Arkansas nothing really bothered me anymore. I knew we were fricking horrible.

I should be so upset even though we finally got rid of a coach I've wanted fired since September?

Nah bro, we get a good hire and we can be back in two years. And I believe we are on the right path right now, so FAP FAP FAP motherfricking FAP.

Y'all don'know what is going to happen....and given the track record of the Auburn brain trust, I would be very nervous....I remember when we fired Shula and there was no real plan....our inital target was Rich Rodriguez but even he didn't want a part of that...luckily we got Saban....

You might find the next Saban or Pat Dye or whatever....but you might get the next Rich Rodriguez....just sayin'

Am I correct to assume Jay Jacobs will be retaining his job for the foreseeable future?
