Unfortunately you're right but that negative recruiting tactic has been going on for a while and has already affected Auburn.

Holy shite. Am I seeing Auburn and Bama fans unite ITT?

Yeah, you know you're a bad troll, when you are trying to troll Auburn, and the first two responses are Bama fans defending.

Maybe Forevertroll will lighten up on the incessant trolling. Surely the guy is really a sports fan capable of shooting the shite with others without douching it up with non stop trolling. He sucks.

AU has a perception problem with the NFL right now

If you're right, that could be a helluva problem in recruiting.

You would think but it has not hurt us at all due to a couple factors. Bama is recruiting at such a high level its not like any team, let alone AU, is touching them anytime soon. LSU and AU rarely are in recruiting battles. This definitely needs to be addressed and I think having Steele on staff will help within NFL circles (although I htink he is an overall meh DC). It will hurt us in recruiting battles with UGA first and foremost. Truly amazing that every year we have 1 or 2 late first round locks that end up sliding to late 2nd/3rd. That tells me the NFL doesn't trust the development.

So what you're saying is that any elite (4 or 5*) recruit that wants to be a high NFL draft choice and benefit financially from it, should be wary of Auburn, right?

We always see the talent level that UF has in the Draft. How come they still suck ? Good thing they play in the East, so they can claim those Eastern Division Championships, or they would be firing a coach every two years.

AU is a top 10 program when it comes to number of NFL players. 5th in SEC behind Bama, LSU, Florida and UGA.

Not great, but far from a perception problem.

You even rustled Bama with this one. That's pretty damn good to rustle a team and their hated rival by asking a question. Well done sir.

No, It's not like its been 15 years since a first rounder has come from AU. Recently, however it seems like the "benefit of the doubt" factor has not been with AU prospects. I think its a direct shot at Gus. And yes it makes sense to go to Bama if you want to be a high draft pick obviously, but Bama is not comparable right now to any other program.
