Our stadium does a great job of trapping sound so it echoes incredibly well. The engineers of the stadium did a fantastic job of making the noise travel towards the field.

I would give the Swamp the slight edge in the noise department over LSU. And I agree, there is something about it's design that seems to trap noise.

The field was originally a sink on campus. That's why it's lower than ground level by about a whole tier. Because of that and how close other buildings are on campus, the rake is pretty steep on the stands, and all of that just holds noise in. And heat - Noon kicks there might as well be watching a game in hell.

Honestly one of the nicest campuses I have been to.
People were beyond friendly (had a guy tailgating next to us share food it was delicious!)
The stadium was on fire and very loud. You could feel the fight in the fans. I gained a new respect for Florida after this one.
People will downvote this but they can beat Georgia.

This is the original field built in the 20s. One of the reasons Florida field is so loud, is that the original 32 rows are at ground level and below. Plus, the additional seating added is more vertical than most stadiums, which traps the noise.

Florida fans were loud for the most part. Only got deafening on a few plays but was impressed overall. Louder than Tiger Stadium in my experience.
Fans were nice and welcoming. One elderly lady thanked me for coming and not in an in your face manner.
Tip of the hat to gator fans

quote:Are they spreading them out now? When we went in 2017, I was actually surprised that they gave us 5300 seats in one block in the SE corner of the stadium (nobody else does that). Has that changed?
Was at the game, Auburn was well represented, just had us spread out in several parts of the stadium.

I went to a Florida away game. We barely made it in our hotel room before someone started trouble. It was the hotel front desk clerk.

Florida in 2019 might have been louder than LSU in your previous Baton Rouge visits but I bet this years AU trip to Baton Rouge will be the loudest you’ve ever heard if you go. This seasons LSU fan base hasn’t been this motivated in a decade. I’m glad LSU has to go to Bryant Denny this year.

No clue if policy changed, just telling you what I witnessed

If I was a hotel clerk, and someone was pissing in the lobby plants, I’d be mad too.

Traditionally, we stack the visiting fans in the southeast end zone, with a smattering on the lower east side next to our students (and behind the visiting team bench), and another smattering in the upper north end zone Sunshine Seats.
However, given that both teams sport shades of orange and blue, it’s not as easy to distinguish as, say, maroon shirts mixed in.
Gator fans were told to wear blue and most did, but you had the usuals who didn’t get the memo plus Auburn wearing either of their colors. I had a handful of Auburn fans wearing orange behind me in the lower north end zone. Seemed like a lot of them spread out in groups of 2 or 3 scattered around having bought Gator tickets.
