95% of Bama fans don't hate LSU. The hate from LSU towards Alabama is WAY larger. Bama fans are too busy despising UT and Auburn fans to harbor much ill will for LSU fans. Judging Auburn fans is a little trickier. They are quite nice to most fanbases, but they do a complete 180 with regard to visiting Bama fans who they treat like total dog s###. In fact, there might not be a larger chasm in all of sports between the way Auburn fans treat most visiting fanbases (nicely) and how they treat Alabama fans (extremely aggressive, defensive, and belligerent).

I agree with your basic premise, but let me say that I have been to EVERY stadium in the SEC as an Auburn fan. No-one compares to a BAMMER fan at the Iron Bowl, No-one. After one visit (2004), my wife refuses to go back. I have taken my now 14 year old son and it gets WORSE every year. I thought 2008 BEFORE the game was bad, this year 2010 was WORSE. Something really bad will eventually happen and I hate that. This is very sad as in the old days rival fans treated each other much better.

I am not sure how Bama fans treat LSU, UT, etc., so I am not sure if they are just worse when Auburn comes to town.

I've been to many Bama v. UT games, and they treat them about like us honestly.

Although it was my car that got keyed and the tires slashed...not the UT car that was parked next to mine. The kicker?? I was at the game, in the student section, wearing red and cheering for Alabama

They're some pricks out there. I've been lucky to have never had a bad experience like that anywhere I've been, while wearing Bama gear. Just no need for folks to act a heathern and get like that. Some good natured ribbing is one thing, but there's a time and a place for everything.

Dude, seriously get over yourself. I was raised a Bama fan and still root for them as long as they're not playing Auburn. I like the fact that the State of Alabama has two great football programs.

Yeah, I had some frat guy thrown in jail after the 2008 IB. He just went way to far. I avoid Tuscaloosa now unless the IB is played there that year. All my friends that went there have graduated anyways, so there isn't a reason for me to be down there that often now (unless I'm craving Jimmy Johns, and then I ride with someone else )

I hear ya. Good job on the frat guy. Folks need to get a clue sometimes. Way more important things in life than to get that wrapped up into a game, to let it get to a point of harming someone or cussing them just because of fan affiliation. Some can't handle their liquor either.

Sigh.. it's time to go get productive a little bit today. Gotta get out and wet, and not how I'd like. Have a groovy one today.

It doesn't work that way. You're dead to me as an Auburn fan.

Raised a Bama fan, my first sentence was "Roll Tide", according to my mother. I switched to Auburn in middle school, and no I was not allowed to attend Auburn University, even though I was accepted. I was pushed to attend Alabama, and I refused, so I went to U.A.B and graduated from there. I normally go to at least 1 Bama game a year. I do not own any Alabama gear, but I'll wear a red shirt and I do not say "roll tide", but I do cheer for them. Like I said, I pull for them as long as they're not playing Auburn. I think it's awesome that our state has 2 back to back Heisman Winners and NC's.

But yes, I am an Auburn fan. I go to about 3-4 games a year.

I was a bama fan till 1/2 way through middle school. my mom was an AU fan, and her drunk ex was a bama fan - and AU won the IB one year, he got drunk and verbally abused her - it turned me off Bama and to AU, and been there ever since - and from now on.

I have a Cousin and her husband that went to Alabama, and I pulled for Bama to beat Texas - cause I hate Texas with a passion.

call me a non fan if you want, but im secure in my position as an AU fan. and don't worry about MattP598 - if need be, ill go smack him :P

Tell me about it

I picked UAB bc it was neutral, and I assume you can guess why I don't cheer for the Blazers?

UAB is the Poster child of "lets give all the kids a trophy - even if they lose, so they feel good about themselves".

Exactly! I watched one UAB football game the entire time I was in college. They made it to a bowl game in 03' or 04', in Hawaii. I never attended any sporting event associated with UAB.

I was accepted at UAB, UT, Auburn, Alabama and Georgia. I picked UAB bc they had the best program I majored in, but if I had been allowed, I would've been at Auburn.

Fantastic. You get mad at a drunken douchebag and quit on Alabama because he was a fan. I guess if he had been flaunting his heterosexuality you'd be gay now, right?
