So they whistle at a dog she asked to stop and they start screaming at her and calling her a bitch wearing auburn football gear in front of a bunch of students.... Yeah not buying that it happened like that

If this did happen in front of a bunch of students then surely some of them will corroborate the story soon.

I don't think they need to be kicked off the team. I think they need to be kicked out of the school. Any other non-football joe harasses a student like that and you can be damn sure their arse is gone.

Im failing to see their actions as being expell worthy. I also don't buy that if any regular student did this they would be gone. Get in trouble sure. Not kicked out though. Make the players apologize in public. Go do some charity work and run till you puke, then run more. Problem solved.

What percentage of your posts are about Alabama/UGA? I'll set the o/u at 85 and take the over.

It would actually be the exact opposite. If it weren't for them being athletes, you'd have never heard a word about this.

For calling her a bitch? Seriously? Over reaction much? Sorry but you're letting your have for Au cloud your judgement if you think a verbal altercation warrants getting kicked out of school. I guarantee the girl overreacted as to how she asked them to quit making noises towards her dog and they immaturely reacted back.

shite if anybody got kicked out then it should be the woman getting told to keep her arse at home with online courses if she wants to have a therapy dog and can't control her condition and overreact. Btw, we are talking about a therapy dog, not a certified service dog.

How about the two douche bags apologize and accept their punishment and then everyone moves on and forgets about this in a week.

This is apparently false. Many students that were there say that Russell&Williams along with other people were petting the dog or rather trying and she lashed out at just at the 2 players.

I'm pretty sure service dogs are supposed to have something on them announcing to everyone that they're service dogs. Every person that was there has said she had nothing on the dog but a collar and leash.

TIFWIW, but this is what fellow students that were there have told me.

Not that this is less of an issue, but a therapy dog is far different than a service dog. It's like comparing a gold fish to a shark.

Where is that stated. Everything i've seen says he is a "service dog". Or are you just assuming?

It is clearly listed as a service dog, but my hunch is reading a bit about the training service that the dog would be labeled therapy and not service. There are significant difference in training requirements, etc… for a service dog vs a therapy dog. However, therapy dogs are growing in popularity. I believe the therapy designation now allows for a dog to ride in the cabin of a airplane. This was formally held for service dogs only.

Duval also told AL.com that the two players have acknowledged their actions and wish to apologize to the veteran.

I believe this story to be factual. Those are 2 tPOS's

Nothing will happen to them. If by the end of fall camp they are slated to start or be in the 2 Deep, nothing will happen to them though.

This vet is not going to get a public apology from the players though, that would be an admission of guilt, and they nor the school is going to allow that to happen.
