We didnt think Nick Marshall could bring us back to prominence either, but he did. Im not betting against Byrum Brown this year. Just not gonna do it man. Kid is a stud

Golesh is a proven offensive genius. Just pull up his resume as an OC and HC and take a gander at his stats.

Byrum Brown is a stud. Big, strong, and FAST! If Durkin can put a similar defense on the field this year, AU is going to turn a LOT of heads. I LOVE IT THAT WE ARE COMING IN UNDER THE RADAR.........just like 2010 and 2013.

Lol, we lost nearly 40 players and only 4 were going to contribute in 2026?

Not even you believe that.
Seriously, are you mildly retarded? One of the "heralded" players lost was Deuce Knight. He saw the writing on the the wall that a much better player was coming to town, jumped ship to OM because Chambliss had ran out of eligibility. Then he agreed to less NIL money. Not only is is going to make LESS money this year, but Chambliss is also back, and that stupid fricker is being coached by Golding! He going to ride the pine at OM, get less money, and have worse developmental coaching!

Maybe Sark and company can teach Cam Coleman not to drop passes and he will shine while wearing two watches. Our OL was beyond horrible and they are all gone. Meanwhile, we have 21 OL on the roster. There is no way we can't 5 out of those 21 who could possibly play worse than their predecessors.

2026 will be a vast improvement over what we suffered thru last year. Book mark this post.

what are you babbling about?

Do you need reminding that Beard Eaves Coliseum used to put curtains up to cover up like half their seats?

More than 4 were going to contribute out of the ~40 that left.

Coleman is a beast and was done a huge disservice with Hugh bringing in another dud at QB in Jackson Arnold along with being stuck in that outdated RPO offense.

AU fans have said this every offseason since 2020.

Is Coleman an athletic beast? Absolutely! Did he rountinely take play off and drop easy passes? Also, absolutely.

Arnold had a massive problem with holding the ball too long, but no one can deny that he also ran for his life on most plays. For frick's sake, some opponents were close to setting sack records when they played us. Damn man, we were well into the season before we discovered our left tackle was deaf!

IU just won the natty, while destroying top talented teams. Care to take a look at that massive talent pool Cignetti put together to accomplish that? Mendoza won the Heisman and wasn't on anyone's radar coming out of HS. Whole team pulled together, played like a team, and destroyed teams loaded with 5* talent and massive NIL deals. Cignetti came from JMU and brought in a bunch of those players, then went to the playoffs in his first year. Golesh is following that example. Shed the prima donnas, bring in the the blue collar guys, build on that. We have a team full of guys ready to step up with a chip on their shoulder, NIL budget has been announced at a commitment of $30 Million. Golesh stated day one, his goal is for AU to be the most violent team on the field. Whole team of dudes pissed off, ready to prove they were mistakenly overlooked, a HC that puts up an average of 500 yards in offense, and a stingy DC with 11 head hunters. Screw you if you don't think next season has to be vastly different than Harsin/Freeze bullshite!

Yes. Cant think of another player that we lost that wasnt a net positive.

Care to list any other players that we lost that would contribute this year?

“Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

Unfortunately, our offensive line has been disappointing for a decade.

I have to see results before I say “no way they could be worse.”
