It's the U-20. I think they have an allstar select and the National team left. Those should be better games.

Yeah, this Israel team looks pretty rough.

Like a state high school all star team. Definitely not SEC-level play.

I’d take many AAU teams over them

Auburn could play their walk on’s and win this game by 40. Probably more than that

I know Pearl is a Jew, but he could of went to a better country (Spain, Italy, Argentina, Germany, etc) to actually challenge his team. Israel hoops are arse.

And what would the history lesson be like for those countries? Three 60 minute games against any competition will not make a difference in March, but a once in a lifetime trip to Israel will last a lifetime.

Yeah I think any of them would provide good opportunities.

That said, how often do high level college sports teams get the chance to explore Israel on a preseason tour? And let's just be frank, a Jewish head coach leading a team full of black athletes through parts of Israel certainly adds some intrigue/interest.

It's a pretty unique deal and I think the ESPN coverage and embedded Bilas confirm that.

The next two matchups will be more challenging. This one wasn't, but playing the Israeli national team, potentially with some NBA players, will be.

I've been to Spain, Italy, and Germany and all are great places to visit, but going to Israel would be special. Hope to make that trip one day.

You don’t think there is history in Spain, Italy and Germany? Not sure why you dropped Argentina there too but there is history there as well.

7th in FIBA rankings and 6th highest Olympic basketball winning percentage of nations that still exist.

Has 3 NBA players on their national team plus another playing D1 at UVA.
