Auburn got lucky that UGA didn't get some key players from the State of Georgia.

So what happened exactly and what do we look for from Auburn in the CWS? Were there some key players that took charge and were the difference or just an overall team effort or good coaching, maybe a combination of all?

It's fricking June Madness. All bats with a record tying 51 runs in our regional, and just enough hits at the right time, and great bullpen pitching at OSU. And a reminder that our game one starter pitched almost 50 pitches and didn't make it out of the 1st in game #1. Complete team effort and peaking now. JMO. frick Tenner.

You know, Auburn could still end up in the bottom half of the SECW this year, so…

ETA: Well, not exactly bottom half, but not in the top half, either. I think.

I think we got more than enough from Samford, thank you.

When you think about it this may rate as one of the all time great stories in SEC baseball at least in the modern era. Has there been an SEC team picked to finish back of the pack that went on to make it to the CWS?

I said last season that Auburn was the best SEC team we played. Looks like they've finally put it all together. Congrats!

Absolute masterclass putting together that squad. Well done, Auburn. Really fun team to watch and thank you for making me a couple hundred bucks tonight

Even if there has, I'd be very damn surprised if there has has ever been a season where the 2 lowest projected teams in a division both make it to Omaha.

A&M projected 6th in West
Auburn projected 7th in West

Both headed to Omaha. Crazy season.
