nope

Pittsburgh evolved in the way Detroit and Cleveland wished had happened post-industry. It's now a major financial and business center. On a nice summer day, downtown Pittsburgh is perfect

Crime is incredibly low for a major city. Transportation could be better, but it's something I guess. New-ish football, baseball and hockey stadiums. 2 great universities. One of the best hospitals in the US. Pittsburgh has a lot going for it

Ya, I don't know why I remember that but after looking online it appears I was just hearing things. Maybe was mixing that up with the McDonalds all day breakfest

people do think about great Jewish Deli's in NYC

People don't travel to New York and then search our Jewish Deli's for dinner, come the frick on. The Jewish Deli's are part of a giant ethos of food in New York City. New York City is not a one-food type centric town, it is probably the most diverse hub of great food in the country.

Again, your regional ignorance is impressive. You would be making some great arguments in 1998, alas, it is 2016. But again, we are an international city with residents and visitors from all over the world. We don't need jealous types from Jefferson County, Alabama to feel the need to visit. You aren't our target demographic for tourism or growth.

New York is identified as Italian or kosher deli, SF- Portuguese seafood, DC-not really know for it food history. Atlanta has good restaurants, but like the city itself, it is very generic.

all of this

I have not been, but always read that Pittsburgh has really turned into a great place to live and work. I've wanted to make a trip to PNC Park for years, hope to make it up there for a series one day soon.

Did I not call it above? People like this only visit for football games at the Dome, a trip to Six Flags or a weekend in Buckhead and stay with their cousins in Alpharetta. They are scared to go "in-town" because of the "crime" so they don't use MARTA and never visit places like Inman Park, Decatur, Litte Five even the Highlands. Therefore they think those 6 places they visit are all that exists and that the rest is a giant ghetto of "crime" or a vast suburb.

Just makes me laugh.

Pittsburg did a huge 180, although the steel industry has been gone longer than the auto industry in detroit, so time shall tell.

now Cleveland on the other hand...

Sure they do. No shite on NYC diversity. They have everything that Atlanta lacks. China Town, Little Italy, Harlem, Greenwich Village. They are a city with a soul (like many others in this country), something that I think Atlanta and Dallas both lack.

I lived in Atlanta in 2014, and I haven't seen anything since to change my mind.

I think you're remembering a one-off occurrence were some stores opened on Sunday to provide meals to first responders after Texas' Tornado outbreak last December.

Well, duh, NYC has incredibly diverse areas like that. They are a 350 year old city. Atlanta is not. However, Atlanta also has some of the most diverse culturally and ethnically neighborhoods in the region and the country. Decatur, Edgewood, Kirkwood, Old Fourth Ward, etc.

And where did you live in Atlanta? What areas did you frequent?

I mean, not gonna lie, if I was banished to an island and told I could only eat Chik-Fil-A sandwiches, V naked dogs and drink Frosted Oranges the rest of my life I'd probably be ok with that.

Atl host a few of the largest populations of a few ethnicities.

I love New York and all, but it is just a larger, older version of ATL
