Not a big fan of Aub (because they keep stealing many of our top in-state recruits ), but anyone thinking MSU will pull this one off is bat-#$^$ crazy.......Aub is by far the better team

Mullen rips Chiziks head off at midfield before the coin toss, shits down his neck and wipes his arse with Trooper's towel.

Most of those games were when Croom was our HC, and thank the good Lord that he is long gone and we have a head coach who knows how to run an offense.

I think you can throw any Thursday night games in which Croom coached out the window it would be like saying Auburn's offense sucked in 2008 so its going to suck this year.

I know, I'm just pointing it out because everyone is making such a big deal that it's "Thursday night in Starkville", making it sound like State is a juggernaut on Thursday night games

Back in the late 90's and early 2000's we were pretty good on Thursday nights when Jackie Sherrill was our HC. I remember beating Kentucky, South Carolina, BYU, and Ole Miss (multiple times when the egg bowl was on Thurs nights)

Really? I dont think that any non Mississippi State fans were picking State to win at Auburn last year and I KNOW that the spread wasnt anywhere near to the 3 points its currently at.

There are a lot more people on here other than State fans who think the Bulldogs can pull off the upset at home this Thursday.

FWIW, I was at the State/Memphis game, and was able to watch the replay of Auburn/Arky St. yesterday. I can say this much, Auburn opened up their play book a lot for an inferior team. State prob didnt run any more than 18-20 different plays and kept our offense VERY Vanilla.

Also, with that being said, Dan Mullen is familiar with Cam Newton and his weaknesses having coached him for 2 years at Florida. I think that Coach Mullen will have a game plan ready for Newton similar to what he had for Tim Tebow last year. If you remember the MSU/Florida game last year State held Tebow in Check and also forced him to throw 2 pick 6's. Florida's defense was the difference last year and I dont think the Auburn D is as good as Florida's

I mean just in general, that last year nobody expected or were expecting that Mississippi State was going to beat Auburn outside of State fans.

This year a lot of fans at other schools think that State can pull the upset at home.

Friendly debate topics....

Why are people so impressed with MSU?
Its MEMPHIS for godsakes last place conference USA and bottom 10 feeder.

Its MSU for godsakes last place SEC member.

Neither team made a bowl game last year.

Who couldnt move the ball against Memphis if they had a chance to play them. Then the two QB thing..

Auburn it was Arky State

They are competitive for the big games but they fall off dramatically from that point.

However, the Sunbelt is a better conference than CUSA as of now for football.

We know the Chiz will have this team ready similar to the first road game from last year when AUB went up to Knoxville.

Auburn will not be sleeping on this game.
Auburn has better talent and I think more quality depth and imo a better QB with experience in the college level.

MSU is getting better but with a RSF at QB dont expect much this year.
