Nice. Lake Guntersville is probably one of the top 3 most productive bass fisheries in America. I would kill to be dragging a plastic frog through the milfoil right now.

That's about 10 minutes from my house. I caught the biggest bass I've ever caught there 3 years ago. It weighed 9.5 lbs when I got it to Waterfront a few hours later. Caught it in the creek bed about 20 ft off the causeway on a plastic worm. It's to late now but earlier in the year before the grass gets so thick you can rack up using a Rattletrap casting along the edges of the weeds.

Do you know where the "hump" is?

It's underwater.... you can't see it... it's an underwater "hill" near the islands.

great spot for bass.

According to those in the UF camp Cam had ZERO accuracy...improving a piece of shite by 100% still gives you shite...

He could be all-world too...at this time, I'll have to take the word of those in the know

You guys kill me with this "but the UF fans say he has no accuracy" talk. CN was at UF for two years and threw a grand total of 10 passes, i repeat, 10 passes. No way they've seen enough of him to give a scouting report.

In JUCO he threw over 200 passes. So what he did at UF is more indicative of what type of QB he is? Ha

Check out this throw. If you're not accurate, you dont make this throw, period.

Velocity can compensate for poor accuracy, this 1 clip you keep throwing around only proves he made a good throw, but I'm sure you could pull up JuCo film showing otherwise.

Heck, you can see by that clip you keep posting the ball is a little high, close to his head...

there's a reason Mullen and Malzahn wanted him to start at OU.

WTF are you talking about?? He throws the ball downfield 30 yds and the only knock you can say is that the ball gets to the receiver at his head? LOL

You dont have a clue what you're talking about. If you're inaccurate, the ball is not going to go where you want regardless of how strong your arm is. See Vick and Kodi Burns.

What the hell are you talking about? Is that English?

I was saying that there were several different good coaches who wanted Cam to start for their respective teams.

He has a big arm, that doesn't mean he's accurate. Whether you brain accepts it or not, velocity can compensate for poor accuracy.

And yes, the ball is high, it's a good throw, but I'm hardly impressed.

Exactly why Newton will not be the messiah as Auburn fans think. But a good velocity on a ball can make it go where you want it.

Naw, if I want to watch shitty QB footage, I'll pop in some Jeff George highlights. I'm not gonna waste my time on something that I know exists...

Okay, I won't be a homer in this thread. (Preemptive STFU for sugatowng).

That being said, from everything I have seen, Cam has outstanding physical ability as a QB. The velocity of his passes may compensate for his accuracy, although, in all fairness, every throw I've seen him make was either on point or a little high. The reason we are so excited about him is this:
1. Cameron Newton > Chris Todd
2. The kid has incredible confidence and leadership ability (something that has lacked in prior QB's in Auburn's history)

It's really as simple as that. Chris Todd broke QB records at Auburn and he had an average arm. Cam has a HUGE arm and can seemingly make the big time throws. I'm not saying Cam will be the next Tebow or Vick... I'm just saying, he's going to be a drastic improvement.

LOL, you're saying two totally different things.
a) He has a big arm but it doesn't make him accurate.
b) a big arm compensates for poor accuracy.

Which one is it??

So how did the receiver catch the ball underarmed?? It's physically impossible to catch a pass that is 'too high' underarmed.

Jesus RB Wareagle you starting to sound like these dumbass gumps.

How can having a strong arm 'compensate' for being inaccurate?? Use common sense. If you have the strongest arm EVER, it dont mean shite if you cant throw where you want it to go. Does Jamarcus Russell's strong arm compensate for his accuracy? Hell no.
