I know Tiger Stadium is electric when Auburn comes to town. I was at the 2007 game. I sat at the top of stadium with hundreds of Auburn students.

I hope you have an awful time at the game but a wonderful experience tailgating with everybody.
Pay attention to the road signs when you drive in; you can't smell Auburn coming like you can Tuscaloosa.

Auburn + LSU = two schools that know how to throw a party, hell if the game is especially good we'll even burn a building down...whatever it takes to have a good time

Boy this situation is identical with the time Ole Miss did the same exact thing with Brent Schaeffer. I'm expecting the same results also. Both guys played at big time SEC schools, both guys got kicked out and both guys came back to be the savior of another SEC school and both guys will be considered HUGE FLOPS!
You might be butthurt, but I concur. Newton will probably never sniff an ALL=SEC team, but if he is decent and isn't completely inept he will be good for Auburn.

We are staying in Montgomery and driving in the day of the game. I've heard I have to see Toomer's Corner and try Momma G's. Any other suggestions? I've been to Auburn about a half dozen times, just not for a football game--just basketball at Beard Eaves.

I don't understand why everyone says Newton will flop because of Schaeffer. Maybe if they said because they watched his film and didn't see it, I'd go with them. But the logic of "Schaeffer flopped so Newton will more than likely follow suit" doesn't make much sense to me.

How bout this boys, frick Cam Newton.
He'll prolly be badass though, just had to say it.

I love how all of these Mississippians think that every black QB who transferred to a different SEC school will be exactly like Brent Schaffer.
You guys really can't see beyond skin color, can you? No wonder Cam didn't want to play in front of 25,000 screaming cowbells every weekend.

He's an LSU fan. Have you been to LSU's campus? Have you seen the university's cows over by the softball park?
And, the last time I checked, Tuscaloosa is located in depressed, poverty stricken, West Alabama. Hardly anything to be proud of.....you guys got a strip mall with a 5 Guys Burgers and everybody acted like they built the 8th Wonder of the World over on University.....

And Auburn is just the center of Western Civilization right?

Dumbest argument of the evening. I expect this in the Political Board, but damn you didn't go there, did you?

It's a lot nicer than t-town.
Tuscaloosa is what it would look like if Ozark, AL's population all of a sudden grew to 100,000. Rednecks, strip malls, and a few beer joints.....
You guys seem to equate population density with "niceness" but this is an error in judgement. After having lived in Hanover, NH and Augusta, GA, I can tell you that Hanover is much more desirable than Augusta, even if it is more rural.

They asked for it with their Mississippi-ness.
I also don't remember similar arguments when Jevon Snead transferred to Ole Miss from another BCS level program.

Have you been to Tuscaloosa/Northport and Auburn/Opelika?
Sorry, but T-town is one of the ugliest towns in the state of Alabama. Awful city planning.

They didn't make that comparison because they didn't see reason to, I assume. Snead didn't go by way of JUCO nor did he steal a laptop. Snead was considered a big steal from a program that had just recruited its QB too well.
