Unlike Auburn, most SEC schools actually make a reasonable effort to report infractions when they occur and take steps to actually fix those problems. Auburn takes the "kiss our a## and prove it if you can" approach with NCAA compliance.

Kinda like Saban suspending four players the night before the Tenn game for textbook violations. AU played Cam all season even though they knew Cecil was a soliciting SOB.

When he and Cam were shopping Cam's services to the highest bidder. Guarantee Saban would have sat his arse instead of conveniently waiting till after the regular season was over.

Why? Apparently there was no reason to sit him. Silly decision if what you say is true.

The coaches and boosters at AU might be as innocent as church mice, but I wouldn't assume so only because the NCAA has yet to do anything. Some investigations take forever, and we're barely a year gone from the first rumors about Cam. I'd give it a year or 2 before proclaiming total innocence imho.

AU declared Cam ineligible. Was that a silly decision on AU's part?

Well hell if a person on a message board says it enough it has got to be true.

At the proper time and then was immediately cleared by NCAA. He never missed a game, Keep trying though Saint it's kind of fun.

Dude, are you from Alabama? Do you not see the obsession we have with this game? We're sick in the head over this stuff. Alabama & Auburn fans/boosters take everything to the extreme.

Alabama cheats. Auburn cheats. Both programs have been doing for a long time. Bear did it. Dye did it. It would be more shocking if either program was found to NOT have cheated.

If the NCAA isn't finding anything; they aren't looking hard enough.

I'm not trying for anything. Just shooting the shite on a message board.

But, AU declared him ineligible and it's not because they knew he would be immediately reinstated.

NO. They declared him ineligible because they were given the correct info at that time. Which is what they should have done.

Since we are shooting the shite on a message board..

LOL, u really believe that? I have no doubt they knew he would be immediately reinstated before they ruled him ineligible.

Auburn takes the "kiss our a## and prove it if you can" approach with NCAA compliance. Seriously, when is the last time you heard of Auburn reporting a secondary violation? They didn't even address the Tiger Prowl secondary violations until the NCAA got involved in the matter. Either Auburn is MUCH MUCH cleaner than the rest of the SEC or they simply don't self report like the rest of the league. I'll let others be the judge of which one they believe.

Wow, you couldn't be more wrong, Auburn reports minor secondary violations every single year.

What's ironic, is you can't find Alabama's online anywhere, so I guess you just made an argument that your own program is dirty?

Well my Auburn "friend"....USC is getting hammered 7 years later, in case u have been living under a rock....so go ahead, have a drink & enjoy your 9month investigation...

As was pointed out by the president of the NCAA, the two cases aren't similar. The Newton's never received a penny, and co-operated with the investigation.
