You are missing the point. Auburn is still under investigation.
I guess we're still under as much investigation as bammer is for Julio and Ingram taking a little fishing expedition/cruise with good ole Curtis Anderson. Did the NCAA ever announce that investigation was closed?
No? They just ruled on eligibility? Same thing.
The only difference in this thing is that the NCAA has had to field 100,000 "tips" from delusional conspiracy theory moron Alabama fans.

I mean no offense to you hun: but have you been living under a rock?
Yes, clearly there's so much evidence piled up against Auburn that our coach calls the NCAA out on hurrying up and finishing their "investigation". All of the facts of the case have been known since last July.
If you honestly believe Auburn is ACTUALLY in any sort of trouble for Cam Newton, then you've listened way to much to the bammers over here.

The entire point of my post was that some of you barner fricks think that milty getting off today is the end of your NCAA troubles. I never said I believed it and have said many times on this board that I will believe the shite when I see it anyway.
If you want to flame someone for being an ATPB'er, you need to find someone else because there are plenty of people here that will tell you you are barking up the wrong fricking tree.
Milty has nothing to do with Auburn's "NCAA troubles" and never has. The fact that you think WE think they are linked is pretty telling and shows a total lack of ability to piece together a coherent thought on your part.
Keep running your mouth all you like, but it's clear you are a fool regardless of your affiliation with "ATPB" or whatever other fantasy land conspiracy theory your fan base has come up with over the last 9 months.

Nope, I bet you money that even if the NCAA cleared AU of any wrongdoing, they'd still be in that thread typing away.
Hasn't the NCAA already done that four times?

Not sure who you are with your 71 posts but dont come in here talking down to me. I was merely stating that the people talking like this has anything to do with Auburn are kidding themselves.
The fact that you think there's ANY CHANCE WHATSOEVER of any of that total BS Conspiracy theory crap just goes to show you are a complete mental midget that shouldn't be allowed to have a driver's license.

I've witnessed what some men are capable of, and the very idea that men like Milton McGregor and Bobby Lowder are honorable men is a freaking joke.
ATPB be damned - I'm sure it's total coincidence that those men just happen to be AU men.
LOL! You guys are so out of touch with reality that it's not even funny. Just more Alabama Conspiracy theory morons inventing some more fiction.

Apr 27, 2004 - Auburn University - Violatons of recruiting legislation
[NOTE: Undefeated Season]
Nov 18, 1991 - Auburn University - IMPERMISSIBLE RECRUITING:
These two were basketball, not football you moron, and in the 2004 one we were charged with calling Mark Komara (the same AAU coach you guys just got Trevor Lacey from) too many times, which is ridiculous. How many times you think Anthony grant called Komara to recruit Lacey?
The 1980 and 1958 situations were just extensions of the previous year's incidents.
Auburn football has had 3 total investigations, resulting in probation.
1957/1958 - The Don Fuell situation which was a complete Alabama fabrication, where you guys hired a private detective to offer Don money NOT to go to AU, and then tried to dig up dirt on him when he turned you down.
1979/1980 - These were legitimate problems with boosters, no excuses. We were cheating and got caught. The irony was this was during the Barfield years where we were terrible anyways.
1993 - The much publicized Eric Ramsey fiasco orchestrated by Don Watkins and Richard Arrington (with rumored help from Alabama boosters) as payback for Auburn taking the Iron Bowl out of Birmingham. This entire violation was over a LOAN and a BOX OF STEAKS given to a scholarship athlete that BEGGED the head coach for money for food to feed his family while he recorded the conversations.
Was it wrong to help the kid and then try to cover it up? Absolutely, but it was a setup from the word go.
Meanwhile, Auburn's football program has been clean since 1993...
In contrast, since that time, Alabama has THREE MAJOR FOOTBALL violations, and has been labelled as a "serial repeat violator" with the most "extensive recent history of infractions cases unmatched by any other member institution in the NCAA."
re: Cecil Interview

Did you read the whole article?
If you go back to the article that you're quoting you'll see a completely different take:
Cecil Newton is confident the NCAA will find no other improprieties. "We really just want it to calm down, let the smoke settle, let the dust settle," Newton said Thursday in a rare interview. "The truth is out there. They have it in their files."
"I don't really want to go back and rehash that and speak along the lines of what I did or didn't do, what was said, what should have been said. I really don't even want to open that can of worms... I've been transparent throughout the whole process."
And the reason he answered it that way, is because Cecil never solicited anything from anyone. If you go read the articles where Cecil "admits solicitation", it clearly says he HAD CONVERSATIONS about money with Kenny Rogers. That DOESN'T MEAN that Cecil is the one that asked for money.
https://www.wsbtv.com/sports/25778803/detail.html
"a source close to the situation exclusively told channel 2 action news investigative reporter Mark Winne that the player's father, Cecil Newton, has admitted having conversations with an ex-Mississippi State University player about the possibility of under-the-table money if Cam Newton signed to play football at Mississippi State, though he's steadfastly maintained that no money ever changed hands and said no official at Mississippi State ever made such an offer."
Conversations DOES NOT MEAN CECIL SOLICITED THE MONEY.
CECIL NEWTON DID NOT SOLICIT MONEY FROM MISSISSIPPI STATE. Kenny Rogers tried to buy Cecil. Cecil discussed it with Kenny, and decided instead to encourage his son to go to a CLEAN PROGRAM at Auburn, and it looks like it was a brilliant move as his son had one of the greatest seasons in NCAA history, won a National Championship, and won the Heisman Trophy. Then when the controversy came about Cecil took the controversy on himself instead of letting it fall on Cam. He allowed the morons in the media to vilify him to protect his son.

Really though, since you seem to be a supreme court justice and all, can you please enlighten me on the availability of federal wiretaps?
I mean I love me some "Law and Order" and all, but if my memory serves me right, any evidence that is submitted in any trial becomes public record huh? (unless JFK is involved)
Please.
Now I'm asking you nicely. Don't come back with some lame arse deflection, at least supply a link.
I really don't want to ask my lawyer brother about something as trivial as the cheating of Auburn University.
The defense has already heard all the wiretaps and recordings.
The Wiretaps were only done for a little over a month from March 1, 2010 until April 7,2010, and there wasn't a single solitary mention of Cam or Auburn on them.
Then there were the 20 tape recordings with Lewis recording Gilley and McGregor from March 2009 til April 2010. Again, no mention of Auburn or Cam, or anything like that.

As was pointed out by the president of the NCAA, the two cases aren't similar. The Newton's never received a penny, and co-operated with the investigation.

Unlike Auburn, most SEC schools actually make a reasonable effort to report infractions when they occur and take steps to actually fix those problems. Auburn takes the "kiss our a## and prove it if you can" approach with NCAA compliance. Seriously, when is the last time you heard of Auburn reporting a secondary violation? They didn't even address the Tiger Prowl secondary violations until the NCAA got involved in the matter. Either Auburn is MUCH MUCH cleaner than the rest of the SEC or they simply don't self report like the rest of the league. I'll let others be the judge of which one they believe.
Wow, you couldn't be more wrong, Auburn reports minor secondary violations every single year.
What's ironic, is you can't find Alabama's online anywhere, so I guess you just made an argument that your own program is dirty?
